All this about making the economy better won’t happen as long as we’re tethered to the EU, and Starmer is doing just that by the back door. The last thing the EU wants is for us to have Singapore style economy right on their back door and have stated so. We’re a threat to them by outcompeting them, so they’ll want to clip our wings and Starmer is quite happy to do that for them. All the austerity from them is because they’re still following EU diktats because austerity is EU driven and is called ‘The Excessive Deficit Procedure’ It’s why 184 Labour MPs failed to vote against Osbourne’s austerity budget in 2010, and why Labour’s 2010 manifesto promised harsher cuts than Thatcher’s. Yet Labour will make cuts for the elderly, raise taxes, raid pensions, but still pay out £billions for hotels and to send to other countries. It won’t be us Brits who prosper.
