My mother had pneumonia and was taken into hospital. The consultant from A & E told us she was very poorly but with antibiotics and proper care, she will pull through. She was then sent to another pre-assessment ward, where a child "consultant" came in and told us that because of her age (86) she would be put on End of Life. When I asked why, was she surplus to requirements? She said no and tried to back peddle. I pulled her up on the words she used, she wanted to know which "words" I meant. I told her that I had no intentions of telling her so she could perfect it for her next victim. She left the room and my mother was passed on to another ward. I told her that working for the NHS for 20 years, I knew how corrupt management were, that when I complained to a manager about what she was doing was wrong, she had the cheek to tell me, "You'd better get this through your thick head, this is NOT about care, it's a business." That if I didn't like, I knew what I could do, so I did and never looked back. This next "consultant" was older, with a sly look on her face. She too wanted End of Life and her excuse was "she could have C*v*d and there's nothing you could do about it." That she would give her oxygen, morphine and antibiotics, but when SHE felt it was right, she would inform us of HER change of plan. So, they left her swimming in urine, this sick, 4' 8" 86 year old with dementia that could no longer speak. I had to get the nurse in and after hours of soaking in urine, they finally kind of cleaned her. My sister and I took turns in staying over night. They waited until we had left the room for a break to stop the morphine, where my poor mother was writhing in pain, we had to pin her down to stop her from getting down and we both wept doing so. Then they waited another day until we had a break and stopped her oxygen. They killed my mother and we ALL reap what we sow. That evil consultant will die a death far worse than the pain she let my mother endure, she does not control the world. When we were downstairs in the cafe area, there were two other people who had suffered the same fate, all because they wanted the beds. I have no trust in the NHS and although I have paid with my husband over 90 years into the NHS, it's finished. Just full of freeloaders from abroad.

I had a similar experience with my elderly mother when she fell and broke her hip. The NHS hospital were nothing short of appalling and actually left her hanging out of bed the first night, her throat against the bed rails, and a nurse refused to help saying that they were on their tea break! They didn't even help her to eat, leaving plates of food at the end of the bed out of reach, no water. Realising they weren't going to look after her or operate, I removed her 24 hours later and got her taken by private ambulance back to her care home to her own suite, where she was beautifully cared for over the next 30 days as she faded away. I was with her. I won't go anywhere near the NHS. In fact I've recently had a fall and am paying privately for treatment. My trust in "our NHS" (what a laugh) has gone. Yes private care is a business there to make a profit, but at least they make an attempt at actually caring.

When my mom died in a nursing home that would not let me in to see her. She was blind and didn’t know what was happening. I wrote to her and told her that I was going to get her home. Mr. Oliver: I applaud your message(s), as they assist in broadening my perspectives. I appreciate your colourful descriptions as they include so many cultural and historical references. However, my heart aches deeply and my eyes leak heavily each time I hear references to the ongoing lunacy in so many places around the world. Your messages often include reference to the staggering loss of civilian lives, especially those of women and children, for which I am overwhelmed! I know that this is part of the stories that need to be told. At this advanced age, I must retire from the "news", no matter how accurate and relevant. Instead, I choose to invest all of my resources on the children in my life, and hope that they mature into balanced human beings with a strong sense of critical thinking. I look forward to an indication globally that wisdom and compassion are commonly expressed! Huge gratitude for frequently sticking your neck out ............

The Bolsheviks were encouraged to rebel against the Tsar by big business money from ... well you know which country... do you not? They did that (were cynical, mindless, mean, evil enough to do that) because they believed a Russia kept in economically backward chaos would be good for their own business interests back home and around the world. The same business interests that Gen. Smedley Butler wrote about with such insight, pain and passion in his brave and wise book "War is a Racket" - published in 1935 of all times. Of course all that was just a few years after "they" met on the island - named with the name of all names that we use after RLS to represent a normal person turning into a raging, uncontrolled monster... Nothing is by chance, not ANY thing...

@jimmysparks315 In WWII Churchill and FDR realised the allies could not defeat Germany without the help of Russia and help they did at the cost of 27 million of their people, Stalin wasn't bothered how many Russians died. When the allies defeated Germany, clearly Stalin thought he was now on equal par with the UK and the US, however they stabbed Russia in the back. When the baton of power was handed to the US from the UK in 1945, they needed a new enemy, and that enemy became Russia. The US economy is run on the perpetual war model, so they constantly need an enemy, invented or otherwise. There's lots of great independent researchers out there with much more detailed info about this, but this is a quick outline, hope it helps.
