I was on the streets with white male veterans mainly and I slept in a tent in Hyde Park. Both my son and I are in a high cost private rental at the moment. I pay £1500 a month. I earn £900 a month. I would like to apply for social housing but have been told by the local authority that I am not in housing need. Having social housing would allow me to be able to afford my rent and to survive.n I know that so many English people are in the same situation. Bare in mind these hotels are making huge amounts of money off this, they are abusing the system themselves, and the prices per day are closer to £200-£400 because they know that they can get away with it. Also these migrant hotels are often fully booked for several years into the future. Literally tens of millions of pounds per hotel being spent on migrants who have no respect for the country and it's people, they seek to change our country into what their country was like, for example arguing to introduce sharia law. As a pensioner that's just lost the winter heating allowance and has constant checks on my housing benefit ,this upsets me deeply. I've worked for the Nhs for thirty years and other jobs before that. Born in England, my dad was a WW2 veteran, raised two kids,has five grandkids, payed rent on the same council house for forty five years,never missed a payment. Paid my taxes,never broke the law.

I owe thousands in council tax, as ex business owner and employer for years, I get zero help from them when I've hit rock bottom, it's not value for money is it. I am in Northampton where the council was mismanaged so badly, it had to be controlled by central government at one point as wasted about 80 million on a building for their own staff, millions more for other stuff still missing, they're a disgrace

I arrived in Britain as an international student, and as such, I have to pay double the fees, including taxes. Now that I am a skilled worker, I am also responsible for covering my NHS contributions, gas bills, HMRC tax, National Insurance, council tax, and Wi-Fi. Despite paying £1,035 per year for NHS insurance, my partner still has to wait months for NHS appointments. I moved here seeking a better life, but it feels like this country does not value tax payers. I often see local homeless people on the streets with their pets, lacking shelter, while some false asylum seeker, criminals, are provided with housing and access to benefits.

My sister lived in the UK for 8 years, worked for the NHS, her son was born there and is still living there. She came back to South Africa over a decade ago and was denied a visa to visit her son recently. Whilst living there, I met one of her friends who was a Lithuanian "asylum seeker". He told me that he conned his way into the UK by pretending to be gay and said he was being persecuted for that in his country. The UK welcomed him in with open arms. All these fake "asylum seekers" yet my sister cannot see her son!

I'm a 78 year old pensioner,on the basic Government pension plus £168.00 per month private pension (just received the letter I won't be getting the winter fuel alllowance) Every week I purchase a shopping bag of food and washing pruducts for our local food bank because I'm aware through my Church that there are genuine desperate people who cannot afford to feed themselves and/or their family properly. These food banks are prevelant in every area of the UK. This is an utterly disgusting situation, and yet we can keep these 'illegal, mainly young healthy men' in luxury by comparison, with their heated accommodation, meals, weekly allowance and even mobile phones with sim cards! It's disgusting!!
