great video Nate is an amazing commentator. Maybe have someone not as negative as Jeremy. not trying to complain but it seems like he gives a lot of backhanded sorta sneaky snide comments. not trying to complain or put anyone down. great coverage awesome golf two cool cats bringing us the play by play. thanks for the hard work and dedication to your fans and the sport.

Dontbeasheep wolf It makes me wonder why he's not wearing a Discmania jacket or hat. I'm sure, with DM being his main sponsor, they would want him wearing their branding at such a major tournament. This is the second filmed tourney where I've noticed him wearing Black Ink's gear. I know they sponsor him and Eagle, but it just has me curious.

nate sexton and big jerm did a lot of course critique on olpe lake...every course is unique risk for reward but I do agree with hole number 14 with the water line just move the basket 20 ft into the 4 trees make them guardians...with the gravel you have to think how much it would cost to put mulch over top. but that's what makes this course unique. you have to adapt and overcome.

So do the pros prefer the tweener holes to be easy par 4's instead of difficult par 3's? I think disc golf is too much birdie golf as it is so I don't understand the issue of having a par 3 where if you walk away with a 3 you feel good about it.
@dekmar7954
@dekmar7954 7 жыл бұрын
Yeah, I think it's weird too when they can basically birdie every hole (I mean, we've literally seen some -17 rounds recently). But I think the point they're making is that it's basically impossible to get a birdie on a couple of these. If you make a par 3 that no one can get, then it's just a bunch of layups and pars. My favorite holes are the par 4s where it takes two really good shots to earn your birdie, but an errant shot will penalize you.
@grantprice4456
@grantprice4456 7 жыл бұрын
Yeah that makes sense. I guess there has to be a risk/reward or there will be just a bunch of layups. I just think it'd be nice to see a hole where par is getting a stroke on the field.

what 5 innova discs would everyone recommend for a beginner to intermediate but be able to stick with them for a while
@RobertWilliams-su4ob
@RobertWilliams-su4ob 7 жыл бұрын
1. Teebird. Champion plastic is more overstable brand-new generally speaking but will last forever. 2. Thunderbird- a little faster than a teebird, but will generally give you straight shots with a reliable fade 3. Find a driver that matches your arm speed- this is the most difficult to give advice on as most people have different definitions of "beginner/intermediate". Also, RHBH or RHFH? Solidly in the beginner category would be a sidewinder, whereas intermediate might be a wraith. 4. A putter that feels comfortable. The top pros generally putt with a stiffer putter for a cleaner release such as a KC Pro Aviar, but it's about what feels comfortable for you. You should also expect to be buying multiple of the same type of mold that you like, and cycle them out as they become too understable/beat in for you. 5. Rocs/Roc3. I use a champion Roc3 (slightly overstable) , a KC Pro Roc (slightly understable), a Star Rancho Roc (straight/stable with a reliable left fade), and an M1(overstable) M4(understable) from Prodigy. Flat-top Rocs will generally have less lift or glide on the disc which allows for more control than domier rocs (therefore they will fly further but introduce more fade at the end)

Paul, Nate, Big Jerm, Climo, Avery Jenkins, and Cameron Todd would beg to differ... and that's not even including Will Schusterick, Nikko Locastor at one time or the fact that Innova does everything for Discmania (Simon Lizotte).... the trilogy has what? Ricky Wysocki, Feldberg, and Eric McCabe?
@EthanJLongoria
@EthanJLongoria 7 жыл бұрын
Robert Williams Feldberg was with Innova for the longest time, EMac won his world's when he was on Discraft, and I believe Wysocki started off with Innova before switching to Prodigy and then Trilogy.

5 discs period I would recommend 1.distance. innova champion thunderbird (beginners really should not need anything more overstable) 2. fairway: discmania s or c line fd (c line will be a tad more over stable... great straight line fairway disc that even a newb with a little bit of open field practice should be able to throw around 300. 3. midrange: discraft z line buzz. I actually prefer rocs for their ability to beat in to that perfectly understable hyzer flip up disc... but I recommend the buzz for a beginner because it will fly similar to a semi beat in roc right away and won't change stability even with a bunch of tree hits as long as you get the z line plastic. 4. throwing putter: dynamic discs judge: this disc glides like no other and is a GREAT teaching tool for a beginner who maybe can't throw a putter hard without putting a ton of off axis torque on the disc. I found that as soon as I could pump out consistent, flat, non wobbly 300 foot throws with this disc it improved my overall form tremendously and allowed me to get more distance out of other discs. In fact, for beginners I would recommend playing shorter courses using ONLY this disc. 5. putting putter... the choice is all yours... so many options here i can't recommend one in particular.

I'm assuming because Nate did it, it's ok, but on hole 11 when he said he "moved big rocks around" on the edge of the water for footing - that's legal? I would think that's like you pushing branches out of the way.
@thomasdirksen391
@thomasdirksen391 7 жыл бұрын
Anything not bolted down can be moved for safety footing.
@RobertWilliams-su4ob
@RobertWilliams-su4ob 7 жыл бұрын
If it is in the way of your standard lie you can move stuff, but if for example a branch goes completely through your lie (past your marker) you can't move it. Besides that, you also get 1 meter away from OB lines and you can end your shot/run-up roughly 11 inches behind the marker. Either one of those could have come into play for Nate's shot
@thomasdirksen391
@thomasdirksen391 7 жыл бұрын
Casual Obstacles to a Stance: A player may obtain relief only from the following obstacles that are on or behind the lie: casual water, loose leaves or debris, broken branches no longer connected to a tree, motor vehicles, harmful insects or animals, players' equipment, people, or any item or area specifically designated by the Director before the round. To obtain relief, the player must remove the obstacle if it is practical to do so. If it is impractical to move the obstacle, the player's lie may be relocated to the nearest lie which is no closer to the target, is on the line of play, and is not more than five meters from the original lie (unless greater casual relief is announced by the Director).

Can tell these guys weren't happy with the course par. Love the player commentary, but it got kinda annoying with them voicing their complaints repetitively. Was suprising because Nate and Jerm always appear to be the more classy players on tour. Another well done job Jomez

Nate, You are just a little bit too obvious when you have a good drive and then par the hole. I can hear the tiny bit of salt in your voice when talking about how good the drive looked or how lucky other players on the card got by hitting a lucky tree or getting a nice roll.
