Thank you Zanele, this is really well said and explained. From a recruitment perspective, I thoroughly enjoy working GCC roles, especially when the candidate also hold their MBA. 💥💰📈📌

1. Bsc(Eng) - Hardest Engineering Qualifications( All the those deep maths, applied maths, Physics, Chemistry, Material Sciences etc) 2. BEng - Hard (Complex designs, Find it hard to solve Standard Model Langragian and Euler-Lagrange equations) 3.BEng Tech/(Hons) - Moderate (Hardest Engineering Technology, bit of Engineering sciences, They don't know maths, they think they do but they don't) 4.BTech/Advance Diploma - Average ( Totally clueless when it comes to maths) 5. National Diploma - Easy( Nothing deep but more practical work) 6. N6 - supper easy In conclusion Pr. Eng > GCC, Pr. Eng is for real thinkers and big brains.

There is no time and need for this in the industry. We work as a team, every qualification has is own exit and entry points. Some are artisans , technicians , technologists and some are engineers .Artisans did a less theoretical course and focused more on maintenance and installation of machines hence no need to go deep into theory (i bet you can wire a sequential starter panel driving three or more motors using physics/chemistry gained during Bsc studies? neither can you wire or connect the motors in delta/star or even mount them to the gearbox using Fourier or laplace) - we all share the same surname 'engineering' but with different titles . We all don't need mathematics to get the world/industry rolling. When you get to the industry one day you will understand that engineers also rely on artisans and the reverse is true as well. You will find out how embarrassing it is when you get to the industry only find out Africa is more maintenance driven there isn't much of designing , researching done here as we rely on Europe and China for finished products - i haven't heard of any Bsc/Eng graduate who has designed own PLC / Software to run the the PLC machine , we only had a bunch of them occupying the technician's space competing to program the PLC which can be merely done by a N3 holder.In Africa the Bsc holder will settle for a sales/maintenance engineer role which can be easily done a national diploma / N6 holder as they have a clear understanding of maintenance right from the beginning and no chemistry /physics or material science is involved here. Its High time for African Bsc/Eng holders get something to prove to world.

Thank you very much for this info. But I have a question. What about someone who did Chemical Engineering, is that person eligible for GCC?
@zanelenkomo2 жыл бұрын
Hey Goodness. GCC is Mechanical and Electrical. Chemical engineers do not qualify. You can see more about it in this video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/r5WZg56nm7CWp7s
