Its just that for me Brook is the embodiment of how stressful school and family life is, with the expectations of keeping a high scores which I totally relate and how this stuff can drain our mental health and also the pain of losing a close family member. This situation can effects someone on going to the wrong path just like Brook did. Still I think its very important to seek help for anyone who is also struggling from the same reasons.

He had only me and some of his family member as his most important reason of this cruel life.. I still miss him sometimes.. his face, voice and priceless smile was everything to me 💔

When I say I can relate to some of this I mean it Brook putting others thoughts and feelings before himself, wanting to hate the ones who hurt him, and the constant pressure and putting family before himself is just overwhelming I feel for the guy, he deserved to snap back and give his parents a harsh reality check But enough about that this MV was beautiful and I'm curious as to who that guy was at the very end

YOOO! This was such an cool video KC. The amount of times I was screaming during this video is not good. lol. KC, you did amazing!! And considering you're doing this, on top of school, applause from the bottom of my heart and my wishes that you know just how amazing you are for doing this all. Your art is absolutely stunning and has improved so much! I know I'm always saying this, but it's honestly true. There are so many details that you put into the art and then along with the story, animation, and editing, and you've just continued to improve it all with this time. I hope that the technical difficulties smooth out so that Ep 9 for TEP doesn't weigh too much on you. Good luck with school and everything else you're doing. You're doing amazing work! ___ (and now for my warning of spoilers ahead in this comment, because I hyper analyzed this what just happened and am going to keep GUSHING over KC's work. She's too good, y'all better have finished the video before you started looking at the comments. and TW for mentions of violence) Timestamp comments because... yeah: 0:06 I'm ALREADY CRYING. HOW?? This is too cute of an art piece between Brook and Grandpa. 0:10 - 0:22 his siblings and the sibling dynamic is so cute. I love it so much 1:00 - 1:07 Brook holding the puppets like that... I can't! (Art is also STUNNING) 2:29 Reggie hunting down this guy is TERRIFYING. Looks visually stunning, but Reggie after him is absolutely TERRIFYING. 3:51 ngl, I liked the magic (visually) that the dad used. it looked awesome. Didn't like how readily he continues to use violence against his kids... in Brook's case at the very least. ___ Hyper analyzation because I like doing it and my brain is relatively for it. Not too much for theories this time around, just me noticing things and pointing out some of how it does set up Brook in the future: Okie, anyway, This video is such a good follow up to the Karma MV and omg does it set up more things for Brook in TEP storyline. (will get back to that second part later). The expression Reggie made when he made the comment about how Grandpa would laugh made my heart ache. Yes, Reggie is angry, but he is literally being overwhelmed with emotions at the moment. Fire/Energy is literally sparking around him when he first yelled. Man is literally shaking atm. KC, you did an amazing job building the emotions to the part where Reggie says to Brook, "Just think about it." Reggie's words cut deep and they cut strong. The red text showing the biggest impact. (red being a very strong and striking color of course). These, in my brain at least, are the things that Brook takes to heart the most because they hurt the most. * 0:38 "Why!? Why did you do it!?" Red text. Reggie is shown visibly at fired up with energy and anger. Brook's reaction? Absolutely terrified looking of his brother and holding his cheek. He was just essentially ambushed my Reggie. There was no graduality into this question that probably plagues all of their family's minds. It was instantaneous and the first thing that Reggie even says to Brook now that he's been discharged. * 0:46 "If grandpa was still here he'd laugh at you." White text. Reggie has a more solemn expression as he is thinking of his grandpa. The adult figure in their lives that truly made the biggest impact. We know in the Karma video that Reggie has slightly followed in Grandpa's footsteps in that he was working out in the garage with Robotics things. We have seen him try to help out Brook like his Grandpa. Reggie knows what Grandpa means to Brook, this comment to me would have been something, while subtle/not screamed at, would stick out to Brook. Something he'd take to heart. (that's just my slight shpeal with Reggie with this comment) * 0:49 "Did you think you'd be a hero or something!?" Red Text. Something obviously yelled by Reggie. With this part, all that is seen is Brook and Reggie. The hospital is a bare after thought that one has to look much harder to see and remember. Which is significant as it shows, to me at least, how this is how Brook remembers or at least himself saw this moment. Himself on the floor, shaking. Looking up at his angry older brother. His pupil, white and tiny as he is shocked. He is a child, a scared one, looking up at an angry older brother. Reggie's are red and draws most attention to when looking at him. This is especially the case when the background, though darkened, is mainly cool toned colors and both of the brothers have blue tones. Eyes are drawn to three things at this moment. (which Brook may also remember the most). His cheek, red from Reggie punching it. He remembers the pain and how it had happened. The look in Reggie's eyes, red, as Reggie yells at him. What Reggie said to him in that moment, red text. Brook may have glossed over, and/or overseen with these three, stark things, that Reggie was also shaking. (idk) * 0:55 "Just think about it..." RED TEXT. He didn't yell this. He didn't scream at Brook to think about it. Reggie is now crying, eyes fuzzy and dull looking, his face scrunched up as he is crying up and his face is darkened. It is then that Brook does think about it. His thoughts are screaming at him in red text. His mental demons screaming at him (the mental demon thing I will get back to in a few paragraphs, I swear, and I make note that none of the things he hears are in quotations yet in terms of this red text, which I will get back too when I get to the demon thing) ___ Now, during the hospital confrontation and the scenes after (Puppet scene and Alley beat up(?)), Brook is in dark clothing. Symbolically and literally, he's in a dark place right now. In the confrontation, he fought with Reggie and let's be honest, lost. At this part, he planned to fight, but he remembered what Grandpa had told him (back in the Karma video). He remembered he agreed to the promise he made to Grandpa that he would stop these physical fights that was getting him unnecessarily hurt. In my opinion at least. Also that smile, no, no no I do not like the smile he had after Reggie had told Brook he was crazy. Also, things have turned now, as it is now Brook's eyes that have turned red. Family photo time! They are so cute all together and I am so glad that now there is this updated family photo with all of the kids. But a part I choose to point out... is that in the zoom in with these cute people, the dad is essentially out of the picture in the framing and Reggie is half way in the photo. it might just be positioning and how the edit worked out to be, but it does speak to and foreshadow Reggie leaving and how Brook has a hard time hating his father truly, as he is poking into the pic some) Brook likely focused on family again, as his mother had told him in the scene before the pic, that "Family comes first" After that, Brook's clothes got lighter in palette. As he spends more time, the exterior is light. But after Reggie left, Brook is wearing all black underneath a white hoodie. Also, Reggie would do this...(2:29) because he does care about Brook so much. ___ *deep breath* Then there is the imagery of Brook killing a version of himself. Someone, who i ,ngl, thought was Brook thinking was it was his dad and got really scared, but then got extremely terrified when I realized who it was. It's the Brook that he sees after saying goodbye to Grandpa in Karma. Mostly at least The symbol of his past and a time where he was likely more happier. This is Brook as a kid. (I will comment that it's not it's not exactly the character, as the tattoo and the collar from the Karma one are gone and the hair is slightly diff, but that's fine.) This one also has ripped jeans, while the other one didn't. Brook had no idea who it was when he first saw. But then there was his mental demon (who looks sick btw), who appears behind him and simply just says "kill him." Brook's expression was just surprise when he saw the silhouette (of who he was), but it changes to anger when he hears these words. It is then followed with Brook walking up to this version of him with knife in hand and he hears the following thoughts in his heads. (which are in quotation marks) - "Family comes first, right?" - "You need to grow up" - "It's for your own good" - "We all have to make sacrifices" - "Preparing for the future is much more important" - "You shouldn't look up to that man" These are things he has heard, told to him. No longer are his own thoughts, as that's already been done. "kill him" was his own thoughts, and now he's remembering the things he has been told. The last two are on screen when he finally goes up to his past self, who he was before, and kills him. Likely (just from context clues at least), words his father have said to Brook, which fade away to give the end to this past self of Brook. And what happens after? Brook is sobbing over the dead body of his past self and says "I'm sorry..." Not in quotes, obviously, but actually Brook's thoughts/words. (I had gone back to a few of Brook's videos, and I realized that the image of Brook standing over the body at 3:13 is also in the Alien Blues video, which was really trippy that THAT was what that image meant in Alien Blues... that... that's scary, but also amazing KC) {this was apparently the point that the comment was too long… so part 1 of hyper analysis. Rest is in reply... and I'm sorry KC, I put it in the wrong video. I'm sorry! ;-;}

{Part 2 of the comment, and that's it} After this moment, Brook is shown to be on the black side of a chess game, which follows a clip of a black horse taking a white pawn. Pawns can have multiple connotations, like you're the pawn of someone or something. But I think this honestly speaks to what just happened. Pawns in chess are worth literally nothing in terms of points. They're worth one point and after their first move, they can only move two directions by a square. Standard is just moving forward, trying to get to the other side, the other is attacking in the diagonal. How I see pawns in chess at the very least, is that you want to get them to the other side of the board, because that, which makes a pawn so powerful, is where they can change into something else. They can become something that can do more. It's a slow journey and there are many pawns that never make it to that side of the board (either because other pieces were moved to go towards checkmate or the pawns are taken). The scene is a case of that, as a black knight takes pawn. Now for turn order in chess, as white goes first, then black. The white pawn has moved and it had did its turn. Now it's time for black's turn, and Brook holds up what I believe is a black queen. The most versatile of the chess pieces and points wise, the highest. The queen piece can move straight in all directions as long as it is not blocked by another piece. Brook's past self, who could have gone anywhere but was moving extremely slow to get to that point, is gone. Now, he is here, able to move in all directions, extremely powerful, on a different side of the game. ___ Parent confrontation scene... So many things are making so much noise in Brook's head, red text even showing that he thinks of this, before he snaps with the flash of red and yells it all to "Shut up" (in red text of course). Brook lashes out. Probably in the darkest clothing we have now seen. His hair has turned even slightly black (the ahoge has a black fade in 3:37) and his pupils have changed. 4:08 "I wish you were dead." Red text. Black eyes. Diamond pupils. Brook can't bring himself to hate his father, but he is at the last straw and wishes him dead. A huge switch, especially as in the build up to this statement, the viewer doesn't see his eyes. The colors of his eyes had essentially swapped. Then he realizes what he's said, is scared, and apologizes. White text. Eyes change back to the pale blue with the black moon pupil. Then he runs. Later questioning how things ended up the way they have, while he sits in the garage with a bottle of pills THEN THE OLD MAN SITTING IN THE WOODS?... Brook is holding a BLUE BOTTLE OF PILLS? I'm going to cry if the next part goes to "Six Pills." My brain already started thinking (during the analysis re-watch) that the scenes where Brook was happy and wearing those lighter clothes is because he was taking the pills. And now I'm scared because I have listened to that song on repeat so many times (because it is honestly a good song), but I remember and know how it goes. ____ This whole thing with Brook has made so much sense to why Brook approached Ash the way he had back during Ash's backstory video. And it's essentially revealed that this part of Brook has always been there. It didn't just appear from Carmen's attack against him (the thing that caused the black scars). It has already been in the back of Brook's head, seemingly(?) mocking him in the mirror during the scene post-Reggie leaving. The other Brook, shown through the vines and that last episode of TEP had MUCH darker hair. His pupils are also diamond shaped I believe. Carmen's magic had just taken hold and brought this part of him out to be more prevalent now. Unlike with Ash, who hasn't been shown (to my knowledge) of having this kind of mental turmoil/side as Brook, Brook has already had this side to him. Now he likely just actively will be able to see and hear this one more often. (Carmen is scary....) ___ That's the end of my hyper analysis. I did write this much earlier when the video was uploaded but then I got hit with dealing with school and a headache of group mates, so I'm only now just posting this. Hello to anyone who actually got through my hyper analysis and all my ranting on some things. This video was absolutely amazing and I had so much fun seeing all of the details within the video I am so proud of you KC for all of these things that you've done in the video. It was so amazing to see this all. I got absolute chills and I was so glad that this video had been how I started my day today. It was a time that I had so much fun and was going through a roller coaster of emotions. I know I mentioned of there being a next part, my brain just remembered something (possibly?) about Brook's backstory being 3 parts, but there's no need to rush or fret too much about it. You still have school and you've been working on getting towards TEP episode 9 and all of the other content that you want to make with the TEP story. We'll all still be here to continue to enjoy your content. I just hope you're able to find joy and fun with this all. (I'm also really sorry about posting this comment in the wrong video originally... I was still looking back on that video and didn't realize I had clicked back to it when I was coming to paste this, instead of here) And too all that have gotten to this point, o7. That’s a great theory my friend! I had the gist of some of what you thought but my poor fingers are too poor for such thing. Using your analysis of this though, it does make me wonder… how will Carmen use Brook from these scenarios? It is what like she said that she gave Brook and option from this of life or death from their last encounter, perhaps Carmen has a “cure” for this that only she has? I mean, if you look closely into her character there is a slight black scar somewhat similar to where Brook has his. Or it could be another insanity moment where Brook has just lost their sanity and goes rouge to everyone because of all the thoughts of being in “denial” by everyone he knows.

I loved all of their backstories, but for some reason Brook's hit differently. I honestly can relate to his self-talk, lucky me! But still, it's so sad. Does Ash know that Brook did what he did? If not, when he finds out, how will he respond? This series is so good, I'm sad it's ending.
