I believe my teacher once said that the equations would be given with the question so theres no need to memorise it!

It's from the rule that states that 1 mole of any gas at room temperature and at 1 atm (atmosphere) is 24 dm^3

i dont understand why did you put 16 for oxygen when its atomic number is 8? Im cooked i have a test tommorow..

Oxygen is always O2, so its 16. because 8 x 2 is 16.

Hey babe if you're talking about the AQA Combined Triology Chemistry spec then finding the volume of gas isn't actually in the spec for that! Its triple only, so if you're revising this, I'd say stop ,think and look at spec! Good luck with your exams x

a more quicker way of finding the volume when you just have the mass is using the formula: mass/mr x24. For example: 27g of water vapour. what is the volume? H20 = 18 27/18x24=36dm3

I think in 1:24 you had to divide 60 by 32 because molecule of oxygen is equals to 32 not 24. 24 is for molecule of carbon!!!
