How is the filtered paper standing up?? Someone help?
@hamzie10104 жыл бұрын
You use a pencil or glass rod that is stuck to the piece of paper at the top with some tape. It should then be balanced on top of the beaker so you don't need to hold it. And in the end, you should get a nice clear result when leaving it for a few minutes in the solvent. REMEMBER: Don't submerge your ink dots with the solvent right from the bat otherwise the dots will wash off!

I have a few questions 1. Does temperature affect the Rf value? Given the stationary phase, solvent, and solutes stay the same. 2. Does the Rf value stay constant with the same conditions but different baselines? 3. Why are there usually some of the solute as a trail when paper chromatography is performed 4. Does the solute eventually just stop? Or can it keep going if you leave it. If it can keep going, can the solvent front change too? Or is it always constant with the same stationary phase and solvent?
