15:02 why is it over 50?
@MrTompkins3 жыл бұрын
It comes from the first line of the question, which tells you "A game is played 50 times".

sir, for question 21 (b) why did you do 1 minus five out of twelve
@MrTompkins3 жыл бұрын
Hey Isma - this comes from the fact that the probability of something happening plus the probability of something not happening must equal 1 (1=certainty - you are certain to either win or lose!). So if you know the probability of something happening, then you can work out the probability of it not happening by subtracting it from 1. So P(lose) + P(win) = 1, and rearranging gives P(lose) = 1 - P(win).

Q22 3/1 divide 100/20 use of KFC rule 3/1 x 100/20 = 300/20 =15 15 + 3=18 Would this method give me 2/2 marks?

Hey Ali J. It's actually KCF, and not the popular fast food chain! Stands for Keep - Change - Flip. Keep the first fraction, change the sign, flip the second fraction. In your example you havent actually done this, but no worries, you have got to the correct solution using a perfectly acceptable numerical method. Well done! My method was possibly a little too complicated for foundation tier, and if I was to re-record this, I might take a numerical approach too. =) Good luck in 2022!
