Just to let you know that on Q18 I said that side HC is 7.1cm when the question actually says 8.1cm - steps are all still correct through so workings make sense hopefully :)

You could mention that even if you made such an error in the exam you will pick up all the marks for correct method (possibly only losing one mark?)

for question 8, why is it 3/22 and not 3/60?

@@arunodg5536 The reason is because the question specifically said that ‘one of the females’ were picked at random. So we know that only one of the females are being picked. Therefore, since there are are 22 females and 3 of them said Spain, we write 3/22. I hope that makes sense :)

What you have calculated is simply a ratio of distance/time at that particular time. As the graph is curving at this time, you have to construct the tangent as Cognito has done. If the graph had been an inclined straight line passing through your point you would be correct, as speed would be constant along the line (assuming it started at 0). If the line had been horizontal through your point the car would be stationary (the distance is not changing). As the car at your point is accelerating, you can only estimate its speed using Cognito's tangent method.
