In this video, we look at electromagnetic waves. I take you through the electromagnetic spectrum and show you a way to learn the order of the waves. We then look at the properties of electromagnetic waves.

what does a medium mean?

A medium is any material, like the air or glass. Transverse waves CAN pass through these but they don't NEED a medium, so they can pass through a vacuum. A vacuum is not a medium as it has all the particles removed. I hope that helps.

I can't say what the exam board could ask as it's a new spec but the least you should learn is the order of the waves by wavelength.
