Looking at the role of the magisterium you'll want to consider how: 1) It is the official teachings of the Catholic Church so it guides Catholics today 2) It updates teachings to respond to modern issues EG: Abortion, Euthanasia 3) It ensures the Church keeps true to what God's wants 4) It reforms the Church EG: Vatican II 5) It ensures all Catholic are part of one community and following the same teachings
