GD GOENKA SCHOOL CELEBRATES THE CONSECRATION CEREMONY OF LORD RAMA AT AYODHYA WITH FESTIVE FERVOUR
On 22 January 2024, not only India but the entire world will see history being recreated when the much awaited and much longed by all Indians, the Ram Mandir at Ayodhya will have the idols of the deity being consecrated at the newly constructed Ram Mandir.
There is a vibrancy in the air and festivities have already begun to mark the D-Day. It's 'Ram Naam’ everywhere, and on such an auspicious occasion, we can clearly see the enthusiasm, joy, and festive atmosphere at its peak in GD Goenka School Lucknow.
Everyone in the school is just 'Rammay' now, students, whether they are playing in the field, writing their exams, doing practical in laboratories, rehearsing for programs, eating food in the cafeteria, or during the the morning assembly, everywhere the students are taking the name of 'Ram' and advancing, and meeting their goals. It seems some invisible force is guiding them. All are enthused with some new energy and such a scene of celebration has never been seen before.
The Chairman of GD Goenka School Lucknow Mr Sarvesh Goel, Principal Dr. Prerna Mitra, all the students and staff are expressing their joy for this much-awaited moment in different ways. The name of 'Ram' is taken before starting any work, young Goenkans are dressed up as Lord Rama, Mata Sita, Lakshman, and Lord Hanuman and participate in different school events. Perhaps there cannot be a better time and occasion than this to connect children with our civilization and culture. In the classes, teachers are introducing students to Ram Katha and its significance. Everyone coming and going in the school is paying obeisance to the idol of Ramji placed in the school. A new synergy has filled the hearts of all.
