GD10 Grangettes - Courchevel - France (2018)

The ski area operator in Courchevel, Société des 3 Vallées, is carrying out major restructuring and modernisation work on its ropeways. After building the new Ariondaz gondola lift in 2017, S3V renewed its trust in POMA to build the emblematic new Les Grangettes gondola lift. The gondola lift operates daily until 11pm, creating a genuine connection between Courchevel village and Courchevel 1850 for all tourists, skiers and seasonal workers.
To live up to this exceptional site, the emphasis was placed on the design and comfort of passengers. By choosing 40 ten-passenger Diamond Evo cabins with a dark and elegant design-lit by LEDs powered by solar panels-Courchevel is the first resort in France to be equipped with such an installation.

A Courchevel, la Société des 3 Vallées mène d’importants travaux de restructuration et de modernisation de son parc de remontées mécaniques. Après la réalisation de la nouvelle télécabine de l’Ariondaz en 2017, la S3V a renouvelé sa confiance à POMA pour la construction de l’emblématique nouvelle télécabine des Grangettes. Véritable lien entre Courchevel village et Courchevel 1850 pour tous les vacanciers, skieurs et saisonniers, la télécabine est exploitée quotidiennement jusqu’à 23h.
Pour être à la hauteur de ce site d’exception, l’accent a été mis sur le design et le confort des passagers. En choisissant 40 cabines Diamonds Evo 10 places au design sombre et élégants, éclairées par des leds alimentées par des panneaux solaires, Courchevel devient la première station en France à s’équiper d’une telle installation.

NEVER look forward to riding modern new lifts. Why? Because they are all exactly identical in cabin, station, and grip design and they do nothing but destroy old lifts which always look different to one another. To the workers of Poma, do me a favour and build me a 2-CLD chairlift that looks like the former 2-CLD Soum de Matte chairlift of Saint-Lary-Soulan.
