Once an essential route connecting Baramulla and Budgam districts, this road is now in shambles, causing significant hardship for hundreds of villages in the tehsils of Pattan, Singhpora, Magam, and Beerwah. The main issues plaguing this road are its narrowness and persistent water logging, compounded by the heavy load from tractors and tippers. As a result, a journey that should typically take 15 minutes over the 7 km distance now takes nearly an hour, severely impacting daily life and local economies. I urge you to take immediate steps to address this pressing issue. Widening the road is crucial, yet it appears that some self-interested individuals are hindering this necessary improvement. Your intervention could be pivotal in ensuring that this important road is restored to its former state, facilitating better connectivity and easing the struggles of our communities. We hope that WIDENING of this important road would be among your priorities.
