I'm looking at a similar model to replace a Whirlpool that has never been satisfactory. The Whirlpool is prone to clogging up with food stuff, the disposal thing is located right next to the water pump, which means disassembly to take it out and clean it. I've been running it without the chopper/strainer, which clogs as fast as I can clean it. What is the food disposal on this model like? I can't see it in the video.

We have this model. It's about two years old. We had our first problem today. It won't run. There's power and the board lights up, but all we et is a beeping sound when we attempt to start it. Howdy partner! I’m sorry to hear that. Unfortunately, I’m not sure how to fix it. I would check to make sure the drain isn’t blocked, door is latching properly, etc. Then, maybe hit the circuit breaker and cut off power for a few minutes. Turn back on and hope for a reset. OMG! Same here. We bought ours 1 year and 9 months and ours won’t run either. Our lights flash and the numeric display flashes 888. So it has power. It will drain. It fills with water. We turned the power off to it overnight and flipped the breaker back on but that didn’t work. Did you find out what happened to yours?

It does always have power. No on/off switch. I think that’s pretty standard for most dishwashers today though.

Help please, relatively new but past the warranty. My dishwasher stopped functioning we rebooted the machine and it worked several days and then it stopped I’ll be rebooted it again and it function. Shortly after that it would no longer hold that’s rebooting and it just beeps three times the light flashes and it just keeps flashing and beeping and it doesn’t start. My son try to push the dishwasher back so that it is flush with the cabinet because I have the ge adora dishwasher and I had it originally placed where I could see the panel and set the dishwasher sticking out from the counter instead of pushed in flush with the counter. When my son pushed it back it was very tight and was pushed in with force, so I thought it was not properly installed. So after that we had to wedge it out and it was extremely hard to do but placed it in the original position that it was prior to all the issues with the washer not starting properly. I tried to reboot several times with no success. Where do I go from here and can you give me estimate of the cost of a service person coming to my home in attempt to repair or should I purchase a new washer. I am disabled and on limited income so it is very important to evaluate my options before making another expensive decision. I would greatly appreciate your advice. Hey partner. I’d recommend that you call a licensed repairman. If it’s a newer dishwasher, repair should be less expensive than replacement. Especially if it was working fine until recently. Sorry to hear about all that - best of luck to you!

I'm sorry to hear of your plight. I just spent $82 dollars to have a service guy come out and tell me my Kenmore had a broken circuit board and was going to cost $388 just to see what other systems on it are broken. He said that modern dishwashers, and appliances are designed with planned obsolescence in mind. I was able to fix my Kenmore 6 years ago, which broke right at the 5 year mark, but could not fix it this time. He also told me to buy an entry level GE or Whirlpool because I'd be replacing it in 5 years. I've never had luck with extended warranties but thought of buying this very dishwasher because it's not that expensive compared to the entry level ones. He also said that the higher level ones might last longer, but nothing is designed as they once were. I'm very sorry I can't be of more service. Bosch and Whirlpool appear to have longer lives (less repairs). Wish you the best.

And the whole fact that none of them actually dry the dishes anymore because supposedly they care about the planet when throwing them away constantly and polluting the water with jet dry doesn’t cross their minds supposedly. I’ve been buying used older models for years but they are getting harder and harder to find. We literally removed the brand new dishwasher in our home when we bought and went and got a 15 year old whirlpool quiet partner II from Craigslist.

You should just press the Select Cycle button, close door securely, and then press Start. If that doesn’t work then it’s time for a repair or for someone to doublecheck the installation. Hope it starts running for you!

Is there a spray arm for the very top rack where you put spatula? I'm confused as to how the middle spray arm reaches the top rack if it is full of cups, bowls ect... also does it have its own dedicated sprayers for silverware basket or no?

I have this exact dishwasher. Run as fast as you can from GE Dishwashers. I have a brand new GE Dishwasher all my dishes come out smelling like a wet dog. I use Cascade top of the line products nothing works, I have to waste more water and hand wash every single dish & glass. remember this post if you are unlucky enough to buy a new GE Dishwasher. The worst.

Then something is wrong with your machine or your not racking correctly. Add a teaspoon of bleach. That can resolve that dog smell. Even thou I never had a dishwasher smell like that and I am appliance dealer.

Wet dog smell is an indicator of your filter needing to be changed or your lines needing to be cleaned. The smell often comes from the dead bacteria. A lot of people never clean their dishwasher/change the filter. It's a common mistake but you will get this exact experience with any brand if you never do either of these.

You do not have to take the rack out to raise and lower the rack. Look on the sides for clips that you simply press and you can easily raise and lower the rack. Stop taking it out,

Some models don't have that feature. But you can take out both upper racks if you want to do a stock pot...large cookie sheets.. refrigerator parts like glass racks and crisper drawers. Makes it much easier to clean and gets into places that are hard to get into .

Thanks for the video. I usially don't use my dishwashers much as I hand was my dishes but I do use it to place my clean dishes and allow them to dry. This is the first dishwasher I am having a serious problem with. The dishes remain wet even after 2 days its almost as if more water gets on them. Just got this installed today. The bottom rack has wheels on the bottom, but there isn't any track to keep it in line. Is it supposed to move freely, side to side, and back and forth? It is different from what I am accustomed to.

I'm sorry but that machine does not run for 5 hours. 3 hours and that maybe not going that long it senses the soils and adjust accordingly. Especially auto sense. Which is the normal daily cycle.
