saved me probably $200. works perfectly with a 15-yo GE Profile. Hardest part was moving the fridge and then finding out how infrequently I clean the inside :-\

Great video. I replaced the water valve like in this video but our dispenser is still leaking very slowly. Any other ideas? Thanks in advance!

Try a new GE water filter screwed in carefully but tight.
@AREyouAFRAIDofTHEdark15 ай бұрын
@@valindaznidarsic6253 yup already did that and it still leaks. So the filter and the valve both did not fix my problem. However, I did get a reverse osmosis installed and tighten the refrigerator to it and now the leak has subsided. So I feel it might be a high water, pressure problem.

If you have a bad resident, add some jumpers between the ice maker and front door. Then anytime they fill a glass of water the ice maker overflows on their food and each time the ice maker runs a fill it sprays water out the door during the fill.

I have an ice dispenser and a water dispenser. My slow leak is from the ice dispenser. The ice maker works fine, water dispenses fine but I get the slow drip of water maybe a half teaspoon a day even if I don’t use the ice dispenser for many days. Any ideas?
@ApartmentMaintenance Жыл бұрын
The dispenser door flap seal could be bad & not sealing the cold air in which mixes with the room temperature & creates condensation. Or it could be the solenoid that operators the ice door flap which isn't allowing it to close all the way. Hope that helps. Thanks for watching Xrpayday5637 & Subscribe to the channel 👍

What would be other reason for a slow drip in that area I just bought a brand new ge profile and it has a slow drip Lowe’s says it is condensation he adjusted the temp on Frig and freezer and it’s still dripping 4 hours later 😭 Thank you !
@ApartmentMaintenance2 жыл бұрын
I would would call them back & demand a new refrigerator or have it fixed. There wouldn't be condensation dripping from the tube as unless there's an air leak & you have cold air mixing with the room temp. Either way there's an issue. Thanks for watching Joann & Subscribe to the channel 👍

Similar to NikTee, I have water trickling down the front door of my GE Artica after there is water in the tray. It appears to be coming out of the tray and through the bezel around the face of the dispenser compartment. But I don't think I have drip from the dispenser itself though. Any idea how to fix the leak coming out of the dispenser?
@ApartmentMaintenance2 жыл бұрын
Prob the water inlet valve not closing all the way. The same part I replaced in the video. That would be my guess, but it's hard to say without seeing it in person of course. Thanks for watching Zachary & Subscribe to the channel 👍

I just replaced my water inlet valve with a brand new one from ge and it is still leaking. Any suggestions
@ApartmentMaintenance2 жыл бұрын
Lift the overflow cup out & see if there's any water under it & if there is vacuum it out cuz it will keep dripping down on the floor. Also check the nylon water line connection behind the front grille at the bottom of the refrigerator, that's another place that will leak. Hope that helps. Thanks for watching & Subscribe to the channel 👍

I replaced the valve and still leaking???
@ApartmentMaintenance Жыл бұрын
If you replaced the water inlet valve & your still getting a drip from the dispenser the only few things it could be is either air in the line which after replacing the valve you need to run a gallon or two of water through the dispenser to bleed all the air out of the system. The other thing would be having too much water pressure, & lastly the valve itself which you replaced already. I would try bleeding the system real good. Once you remove your cup from the dispenser it's normal to see a few drips right after dispensing water. Now if it's still dripping a minute later then there's still an issue. Hope that helps. Thanks for watching Harrisfour3 & subscribe to the channel 👍

Returned home to find the same water build up, except it seems to leak from the ice box when closing the door. Do you think it could just be from melted ice if there are bad springs not keeping the duct door sealed? Or should I also order a water inlet valve. Remote location in Canada....
@ApartmentMaintenance4 жыл бұрын
It's hard to say without seeing it. If you can see where the water is coming from that will give you a better idea of what it is, instead of spending money guessing. Thanks for watching Adma16 & Subscribe to the channel 👍

I guess they just become faulty and cant regulate the water properly? Or some type of O-ring fails?

I am not sure if you still read these, I have an alternate model GE artica, I just noticed a trickle down the front door. I have a black bezel around the face of the dispenser compartment and it looks like the water drip coming from under the bezel, but the water has a drip from the dispenser itself as i've wiped and monitored. There is no water in the tray itself however I can see the residue under and around the compartment holder when I remove it. I am wondering if I have the same issue or perhaps a seal problem. I would think there is no reason for there to be water on the back side of the bezel so I am inclined to believe I have the same issue as referenced here. Do you have any insight? EDIT - After further investigation, it looks like there is condensation around the seal at the base of the ice trap this is where I see the water droplets condensing.
@ApartmentMaintenance3 жыл бұрын
Sorry for the delay on my response. Sounds like you could have the same issue as in my video, but I would remove any water from the tray & keep an eye on it to see if anything drips down. Thee shouldn't be any water dripping or forming anywhere around the bezel after water or ice is dispensed. I see where u say about condensation around the "ice trap" I'm guessing your referring to the dispenser door? If so, check the seal on that & make sure there isn't some loose ice or frozen chunk of ice inside there that slowly melts off & drips down. Thanks for watching NikTee & Subscribe to the channel 👍
