Hate those bib type faucets!! We replace them with ball valves when we swap out washers. Question it looks like you are installing 4X the strainer washers in addition to the plastic strainers in the washer valves. We put in one in each side as they are EZier to remove to clean and flush. Reason for the extra set???

Just following the install instructions - my appliance school taught me to never attempt to clean the water valve strainers, just replace if clogged.
