You are such a dearheart. I followed your video and went through the diagnostics per your video. I didn't do perfectly but I got through it. When I read the comments I found out other people had my same problem. When I hit the start button it acted like it would start and then it would "unlock" and the timer would start blinking. It is intermittent.....but I do believe it is the lock assembly.....I think it's a defect in these machines. Anyway, I will get a tech out here and pay for them to install a new lock assembly....at least I know what is wrong. I wish I had the courage to order the part and fix it myself....but I'm just not confident. Thanks so much for all you do....

Hi! Question about this washer. I go to start a load, and it won't lock therefore I can't wash anything. It makes a weird sound (multiple times) like it's trying to lock, but then gives up and flashes the time at me. Nothing is obstructing the door, and the door lock appears to be in tact. Any suggestions? Thanks so much!

@@mmee78 I had a maintenance man come replace the door lock mechanism and now it’s working fine.

FIXED ! If anybody comes here, I find out the solution for this exact problem. (I HAVE 0 SKILLS in electronics and stuff) : I REMOVED THE LOCK ASSEMBLY (plenty of videos explaining how to) and then INSTEAD OF REPLACING THE WHOLE PIECE (the WH10X10008 : costing around 100$) I OPENED IT and then you can find a little piece of plastic that is missing, I saw a video explaining this : kzbin.info/www/bejne/bqqXcqGNl5arhtE. And now its working perfectly and i havent spend a dime on anything. once again I did it without having any skills or knowledge on washing machine or repairs. Hope it helps you !

Omg I have the same issue with this! I have the same washer and my maintenance guy told us the exact same thing. I am used to seeing front loaders fill all the way up with water but this one does not do that at all. It’s almost as if the water comes out periodically but never fills up like it would if you went to a laundromat. Is this correct? Should it be doing that?

I have this same washer and I think it's only supposed to use a little water in it, not very much, because it tosses the clothes and is HE type (High Efficiency).

What is code 01? When I press, signal/rinse/signal/rinse. I got into diagnostic mode but when I press power it doesn't go to next code it just turns off.

Use the cycle selection knob to move to the next/previous test. Start/pause starts the test. Power ends the test.

Thank you for this! Unfortunately now I'm at the point where I'm confident I probably shouldn't try and repair it myself (Error Code: dE3 - Door Unlock Error -- go figure as I can't unlock the door, even after draining the base and playing around with it for a bit). At least I confirmed it wasn't something else straight forward that I was missing.

There should be a tech sheet to tell you how to put it in diagnostics mode. Usually by the kick plate or under the lid.

Check the drain to the bottom right. Water will come out. The filter is probably clogged. Have shop vac ready

I already took the lock mechanism out before I saw this video. Anyway I wanted to ask to make sure that is the problem. When I try to start it, it wont run and I can hear a faint click....click....click about 5 or so times and then the lights blink as if I hadn't pressed start. Could that lock be my issue?

I'm so upset. I have this exact model. I haven't had it very long and it won't start. I'm trying to follow your directions, but it's confusing because when you're showing something like turning the knob after the diagnostic starts, the camera doesn't show where exactly you're turning it. Also, your going through the steps too fast at certain points. I'm pretty efficient at writing steps down, then following accordingly, but I'm finding it difficult in this case. Please help if at all possible. I can't believe what a piece of junk this machine is and it wasn't cheap.

@@303jrios Oh my gosh! I can't believe you responded so quickly. Thank you! Warning, I'm a mess and crying because I've been so upset. Okay, the door closes fine, I press power, then start. The time shows up as 30 minutes because it's on speed wash. It stays like that for a few seconds, then it chimes a few times and the 30 starts blinking.

The E3 error in GE washers means the basket is overfilled with water. The water level sensor sends a signal indicating that there is too much water in the basket ... Therefore, the washing machine stops washing. Then the device turns on the drain pump and displays the E3 error code.
