Vibration analysis, as mentioned, is widely used in manufacturing units to inspect industrial gearboxes. This is the most widely preferred gear fault analysis technique that enables users to prevent breakdowns. As the name implies, this technique analyzes the noise inside the gearbox. An industrial gearbox comprises different components. Each component creates different vibrations on a unique frequency while working. If there is any damage, the noise pattern will change completely. The change in vibrations helps diagnose the type of damage as well as its source. For instance, the noise patterns differ if the problem occurs due to inappropriate alignment, damage, or imbalance.
