IT IS SO FUN! That change from 5/4 to 4/4 throughout the song is just so much fun to play along with! Also, the level that this song is from is super fun as well! :D

The measures of 5/4 come in batches of 8 each, so that adds up to a total of 40 beats, which is easily divisible by 4 (10), so it wouldn't be too difficult to overlay with a song in 4/4, like "Never Had a Friend Like Me". 8 measures of 5/4 equals 10 measures of 4/4.

This was and still is my favorite DKC Returns song. This actually is just the Rocket Barrel theme which is used in other levels, but I think this is a unique rendition of it.

The "Vs. Ridley" remix from Ultimate also changes time signatures a bunch as well. Most of it is in 5/4, but it changes to 6/8 or 4/4 in certain parts of it. I hope you get a chance to play it sometime. It sounds like it'd be a fun one for you.
