You were puzzled as to how the 'beef jerkin' remained in place without perhaps noticing that the sewing tool had a slit opening at the tip. So, once the jerkin has been inserted (leaving a little remaining outside of course), it's important to give the tool a quarter turn and then withdraw with one clean action and as if by magic the tool is now empty. Magic! You mentioned that you were not sure how much glue to use with the reamer. Simply coating the reamer will be sufficient. You may need the remaining glue for more punctures... Then use the supplied knife to trim the excess 'jerkin' flush with the tyre. The outer covering on one cylinder is to prevent your fingers freezing on to the metal as the expansion of gas lowers temperature. That might spoil your day! If you can't transfer this protective jacket to the next cylinder, use you m/c gloves/towel. Oh and I would suggest you have a total say 5 cylinders (more than supplied can be ordered on-line) to get reasonable pressure in the tyre.

You guys are like the motorcycle version of The Chuckle Brothers 😂. Good video, I get the occasional puncture and have successfully used a kit like this. Although I do carry around a small compressor and one of those car jump start battery packs (size of a cigarette packet). Must admit these repairs has always worked permanently for me.

All temporary tyre repair options will do just that... get you moving again. Defo worth getting the repair fixed professionally from the inside of the tyre when it's convenient, however the 3 methods shown in the link I provided will help most people out of a sticky situation. I personally carry the 'Stop n Go' Tyre plugger mushroom repair kit based on the strength of the video link watched/provided.... along with a small 12v compressor in my topbox, May I add I'm under no illusions for all 3 methods - they're all better than nowt.

You skipped the bit about how to remove the tool after inserting the plug. Very confusing.

If you don't mind waiting at least three hours for the breakdown recovery plus the time taken to get you home, then that's fine. I fixed a tyre with one of these kits in ten minutes and then rode another three thousand miles on the tyre with the plug inserted with no issues whatsoever.
