I’ve always heard it referred to as “ranger bands”. Once used it to wrap around the grip of a Glock, worked well but I found I preferred not to use it. Cool stuff sir.

Yep, ranger bands! I forgot all about that name 😂 Wrapping around a handgun grip is one use case I forgot about. I wrapped it around the grip of an XD I had eons ago. I liked it for shooting, but didn't like it for carry. It was almost too grippy under the shirt, if that makes sense.
