I have seen and searched for many sim rigs, but since I saw yours, I fell in love 😁😁 After more than a year of thinking about whether to get a triple monitor, after seeing your videos, I decided to try to create something similar.. Thank you for all the inspiration you have given me. Wonderful work ❤❤💪💪

Awesome rig, it’s certainly an inspiring set up. I like your solution for getting enough tilt in your seat. I’m still experimenting with my seat position as well as the base cushion to get a more comfortable set up for myself.

Amazing work. Your creativity and Resourcefulness really separate your rig from others. You and race beyond matter are the pinnacle . Guys spend 100 K on a rig for immersion, sure that’s cool but what you’ve done is truly magical and pure creation .

Good day Sir! Can you maybe make a video about your monitors, why you bought them/placement etc.
@sense-of-speed

Thanks for the question. I'll be doing a video on placement and fov pretty soon, and will cover placement. In the meantime, the monitors are Aoc 32" 165hz. I chose them based on specs and budget.

@Sense Of Speed amazing work bro. Race Beyond Matter is a friend and mentioned you a few times. Super happy too find your channel and see your passion which I also have. I have a couple of questions. Firstly how did you attach your racelogic too sit in front of your left bezel free kit? And secondly what is your eye distance from centre screen? And lastly What size PVC tubes did you use for the side door panel/roll cage? Look forward to seeing more from your channel and wish you all the best. 🙏🍻
@sense-of-speed
@sense-of-speed 10 ай бұрын
Thanks, buddy. For the racelogic, I used a small 90-degree bracket from the hardware store. It's mounted with a single bolt to a profile piece attached to my wheelbase upright that allows me to give it a bit of an angle to match the monitor. The same bracket is used for the lumirank clone as well. I sit right about 68 cm to eliminate eyestrain and feel a little more natural. The pvc, I believe, is 1.24 ID, which makes it 1.625 OD. Pretty much the standard size for steel cage tubing.

Well made video and excellent work on this project done to a high quality. So nice going and rather impressive... Does seem like a lot to incorporate within the build/design to have an option to be able to physically change sides/doors etc for L/R cars. Really though as a serious question, does VR not just offer a better job of providing that with other benefits VR has and modelling cars to scale without all the hassle? I think its cool to build a rig to suit specific type or model of car if the user intends to drive in a sim with that or is creating a sim of a car they race. Yet for those seeking entertainment with racing games, it also seems flawed thinking putting all that effort/money in, towards interior styling... Surely, when you then drive very different cars (open wheeler/rally/sports car/hyper cars, or want to play with different views/perspectives in different titles, it then all seems a bit odd/out of place or to some extent kinda pointless? I would expect more pleasure or immersion would be possible with motion, belt tensioner and advanced tactile added to the build than so much put towards the physical surroundings? Although it seems a trend for KZbinrs to want to make mock up cockpits for content they release. Do look forward to more of your videos/content Kevin and if youd like to respond to these queries/thoughts...

Thank you for the kind words. I understand your logic in regards to VR, but it's not really an option for me. I spend so much time in it as well as driving comfort would drastically suffer, hence outfitting it the way I have. i understand the immersion level of VR but I do quite enjoy the visual haptics of having the chassis finished to resemble a car. It really does create a nice vibe. It has been difficult to plan all of the pieces but it hasn't turned out bad and I agree. It would be easier to build to a specific car. While leaving things a bit ambiguous the set up in this video works with just about any gt3 or passenger type car by simply removing the cages. Personally I gravitate more towards prototype cars and have made some changes to suit the effect with success. I also spend most of my time in Iracing and only use cockpit views in other sims if I do play them. In the end I don't mind the work, planning, and money spent. For me it creates a nice physical environment I enjoy and feel it is a worthy investment on how I approach the hobby. A belt tensioner and transducers are in the future and can be added with ease. Adding motion could be possible but I doubt I will do it. I often questioned why I was building all of this because I was so drawn to adding a real car feel. For this project I am simply trying to create something I can no longer do. I really miss building racecars, driving, and just the feel of them. This little project has scratched the itch and I would still be doing i even if others weren't doing it.
