Travelling and hiking one-bag with this gem for the last 4 years and it covered my ass sooo many times, expecially for low-cost flight size restrictions in Europe this is perfect because I've never had any complain and could fit below the seats. After 4 years it's unstitching in various parts but I've REALLY mistreated and overloaded it so much that I'm surprised it still lasts. With compression bags and some compromises, I could fill it with clothes enough to stay abroad even for 10 days, including camera gear, some tech, toiletry pouch, a nintendo switch, some foldable daypacks, medicines and a pair of waterproof jacket+pants. What I like most is the external attachments system, you can really make a good use of the space around the backpack rather than filling it inside. You can "roll" hiking sticks to the front-sides, add a sleeping bag to the bottom, use carabiners to add plenty of other things in the outside rings. Now that it's coming to its end of life, I'm struggling to find a replacement backpack and I think I will really end up buying it again. It has so many useful features that I can't find in expensive alternatives, I'm concluding it really just doesn't make sense to switch to another backpack model. I was hoping in an updated version of this Diamond Candy, maybe with YKK zippers but seems the only backpack done from this company. Do you have any idea of similar backpacks to consider?

Hi. I have a similar problem. I've used this backpack for almost 4 years, nearly daily, across 3 continents, for work, studying, and hiking. After this time, in the last 2 months one of the chest straps for adjusting the weight is giving out, and the main zipper has started to come undone. I love the backpack, but I'm about to travel again, and now that I live in Europe, ordering one from the USA takes too long to arrive. Have you found a similar backpack? If I had more time, I would definitely buy the same brand and model again, it's really good for its low cost.

This bag is worth every penny...If you want a bag that will LAST...Get this one...bought it for my son years ago and its mine now...not a bit of external damage or defect and allows you to carry a ton of weight in it

On Amazon, the black colored DC 40L is listed as $58.99, while the blue colored one is listed as only $29.99 (only half the price of the black one). I could not tell any noticeable difference between the two, other than the fact they are different colors. Why is this?

It would have been so much better had you recorded yourself while wearing it (loaded) so we could get a good sense of its relative size... But thanks anyway

The only way is to buy one and try it out. Other then that, having the person talk about it is better then watching some model girl with a empty pack on her back

If you are considering to buy this backpack thinking that it is waterproof, I recommend not to buy it since it is not waterproof, not even with the rain cover. A couple of days ago I could test it driving my motorcycle under rain (not heavy rain) and obviously with the rain cover, and all my things including papers that I had inside it, got wet 😡😡😡 completely wet, I was deceived by this brand and amazon. Otherwise the design is great but it must be really waterproof and I had to buy a better backpack rain cover to substitute the piece of garbage 🗑 it came with
