The faces you see on Shigaraki's giant, grotesque fingers are his dead family members. What Nana meant when she said "he's still in there" was that Shigaraki still remembers them despite bonding with AFO. Even with all his power, he's still using them to shield himself from the world.

The music cutting off as Deku saw Bakugo's body genuinely gave me chills. We've seen before how Deku feels about Bakugo. When Monoma insulted him in JT, Deku flew into a rage and Blackwhip emerged. When he was pierced in PLW, Deku raged and began to attack wildly. And now seeing him here next to his bloody All Might card, Deku is about to rage again and be an easy target for AFO. But Mirio is there to calm him down. Mirio helps Deku realize Bakugo is still alive. The heroes haven't lost anything yet. Speaking of Deku, we've finally seen his last quirk. Gearshift. The 2nd user's quirk. Formerly used to speed up small things. But now is the shift in battle. The rift between AFO and Tenko is widening. Speaking of AFO, he seems to have some history with the 2nd. He had tears in his eyes while looking at him. The first time we've ever seen AFO cry. Which now makes his reaction to Bakugo make sense. The 2nd user didn't have OFA anymore when AFO got his hands on him. He just had a small quirk. Yet he was able to evoke such a reaction from AFO. Bakugo doesn't have OFA. He's like the 2nd. He should be an extra. A nobody. But said extra without OFA was able to stand up against him. He was getting stressed out because he was reminded of the 2nd user in Bakugo's fighting spirit. The 2nd user who smirked at him even as he was being choked. Now Deku has smashed a hole in AFO's chest. Like how Bakugo had his own chest smashed open. But AFO thinks to himself that he hasn't had the chance to use any quirks yet. He hasn't had a chance to use his body yet. But there's still a chance at victory for him. He just has to bet everything on Spinner.

uh no.💀 he was very very mad that everyone INCLUDING bakugou, was injured/dead. he wouldn’t care about the card only and be this mad about it. his childhood friend is dead and he realized he had been carrying a card that deku himself got with him during that time? ofc he’ll be mad that bakugou is dead and not a card. he even said “ka-“ while looking at everyone and him.

Deku is putting out 120% with 45% OFA combined with Fa Jin and Gearshift. So he's ALREADY stronger than All Might ever was. Now IMAGINE he combines that with 100% OFA. He'd be pushing 300%

The butterfly effect in question was 1) the soldiers coming for deku. They took several minutes off dekus trip. And The battle was measured in seconds. 2) lemillion worked out his whole life and the moment all of his hard work came to was having a nice butt and a good joke. He worked his whole life to give the world 3 seconds. Deku needed 2. But thanks to that extra second he got a HEAVY first hit in.

Deku using Gearshift plus OFA main stockpiling quirk (that causes him to get hurt when he uses over his limit which is like 48% currently) he can basically go 120% but without the drawn back since he's only using 48% off OFA. Gearshift is covering the other 72% of power.

The part that makes saving Shigaraki complicated is the fact that we are not fighting Shigaraki right now, we are fighiting AFO using Shigaraki's body and Deku can see that, if he wants to try and give Shigaraki a chance he first needs to get AFO off of him somehow

Personally, I'm very dissapointed in what Deku's final power was. It's a cool scene and all, but it's basically just more superspeed. Also apparently more super strength despite the statement that it ignores inertia. So just like Fa-jin, its just more of the same. Yes, technically it supposedly works different, but in practice, it's just another physical boost.

Well they weren’t originally strong or impressive quirks since AFO crushed all of the strong people when he was in control. It makes sense that it wouldn’t be some overpowered cool thing, but what makes it amazing his how the quirk changed and how it is now utilized.

Then Gear Shift too was just more of the same. Speed and power. Sure they all had slight differences, but in the end that's all they are. More of the same.

@@LamirLakantry I see, the unoriginality works within the story though since there is a reason why it wouldn’t be anything more complicated, don’t forget that quirks get more powerful and complex with every new generation but back then quirks were just straightforward, you had quirks that increase speed and strength and other basic things. That's a good point, though just because it works as a narrative excuse maybe, it is still not a good story decision. I'm not arguing that it is a plot hole. I'm arguing that it is a boring choice for the story to take. Give Deku any random quirk from the show instead and you'd have a more interesting and diverse battle from him instead of yet more hit hard. Black whip is used excellent for diverse moves. Danger sense is showcased often, despite not being very flashy. Smoke screen, arguably his weakest quirk, is great for strategic use several times. But Fa-Jin and Gear shift are basically indistinguishable from just saying Deku used a higher precent. There are some color changes, but the power is used the same. It's such a waste of narrative potential. Give him something potentially weaker that he could use far more creative. For example he can temporarily change what non-living things are made of. Or he can make an illusionary decoy of himself. Or he can temporarily warp space around him to close or expand distances momentarily. Etc. So many cool power ideas that would make fights so awesome. But then again, MHA's fights have always been its weakest side. Great emotional payoffs, but compared to similar battle anime, the fight choreography and animation kind of sucks. I'm comparing it to pretty epic anime here, so I'm saying it's only bad in comparison to those rivals.
