Bunch of haters on this comment section. Bottom line, these are the best feeling, best playing guitars I have ever picked up (and I own Japanese made Ibanezes, Gibson Les Pauls, American made Fenders, a PRS, and some other nice guitars). Carvin's are the most under rated guitar ever and these Kiesel's have taken it up a notch. AND they are insane to look at . Best guitar value out there in my opinion. So the guy is a master guitar builder, more so than a talking head video producer. Get over it. I like his style.

He is doing an amazing job. I had never even considered getting a Carvin when I was younger. To go from that to actually craving them, even though I have other top instruments, is pretty impressive.

I had a Carvin Ultra V that i bought new in 1987. The neck and the action were very good. I haven't played music in 10 years and drums were my primary instrument. Recently i've been thinking about learning guitar again. When i found out Kiesel was made by Carvin, it got my attention. No wonder their guitars are so popular.

Why would you say that? Sure he's confident and proud of his work, but the guitars they're producing more than back up his swagger. If he was just riding his Dad's coat tails, sure - arrogant douche. But he's done some amazing work and really brought Kiesel to the forefront over the past decade.

It really struck with me how these guys are all about doing good, solid guitars without sacrificing quality over quantity. They're not in it to make as many guitars as possible and sell them as fast as possible (looking at you Gibson, Fender, etc), but in making really great instruments. From the video I can see that each guitar really is unique and buyers know this and appreciate it. Keep it up!

Watch this and then go to the channel of PremierGuitar, watch the Gibson factory tour and just compare the attention to detail,Kiesel/Carvin puts into their work in comparison to Gibson.Also,the re-inforced,double carbon fiber trusrods,beeing a standard feature is great.Not even PRS has this type of trusrods in their guitars,as a standard feature! Speaking of PRS,pause @ 32:14 and then @33:35,for these type of flame/quilt tops,you will have to pay extra for a ''10 Top'' or ''Wood Library'' package,for a similar finish to the ''Aquaburst'',you have to pay extra for an ''Artist Package'' at PRS and not to mention trying to get a lefthanded PRS.

carbon fiber rods kill sustain. its super over engineering that is not necessary. at the end of the night, if u leave your guitar in the trunk of your car in a summer time, the next afternoon it will be warped.

The Gibson one is terrible. I would never buy a Gibson after seeing how big of hacks they are. So expensive and they use chisels and hammers to fit necks. One other company I was surprised with was Schecter they seem to do a pretty good job, way better than Gibson. so far Kiesel has the best process and quality that I have seen in videos.

Not a fan of HAAS cnc machines. But they do good for what they are intended for. Wood maybe a perfect match for HAAS. I will say out of all the Guitar companies I see in videos I am most impressed with Kiesel's building and machining process. A+. As a Machinist myself and working in Manufacturing for over 30 years my opinion Kiesel is top notch. I have a Carvin guitar and its probably the best guitar I have ever played and owned

Very informative. I'm surprised just how accommodating Kiesel is to it's customers. I could see how some people might see Jeff as a bit egoistical or posturing a little but I think it's just a matter of him knowing his stuff and running a company. It takes a certain kind of person to run a company let alone run it well. He seems like a decent enough guy but I don't work there so what do I know. Their guitars are pretty freaking sweet and especially at the price. Man...now I'm debating what to sell to buy one of these bad boys, lol

CNC is great for scale and all that, but there's something to be said for a guitar made totally by hand. It's cool and all to have something flashy like a Kiesel, but when I tell people that the bass I'm playing I made from hardwood bought at the reno store and built with hand tools on my kitchen table and they can't tell the difference elevates the instrument to a whole other level.

So what exactly do those carbon fiber rods do? Do they prevent neck from unplanned moving or so? How good are they?
@greekfreak1980
@greekfreak1980 7 жыл бұрын
Yes,that's the idea.A guitar neck can move,which is a big problem for touring musicians who travel to areas with different temperatures,humidity etc. The carbon fiber neck provides more stability,other companies like Ibanez,use titanium rods,which is of similar strenght,but only for their high-end models,like the Prestige or J-Custom series.For Kiesel this is a standard feature,no extra charge.
