Those cheap Ibanez basses are awesome. I had one that I had to sell and it was a killer bass for metal chunk. I had another bass that was five times the cost that to my ears didn't sound nearly as good.

+The Big Medley She was born in Bosnia, then her family moved to Serbia when she was about two, and they stayed there for about ten years before moving back to Bosnia. Eventually she moved to California (I think). There's a really cool article on Modern Drummer's website I read a little while back that had her story in it. Worth reading for sure!

I had to stop watching after home girl said that drop b was heavy. tunings aren't heavy. Music is heavy...
@Youreallysuckguy9 жыл бұрын
A.J. Petrarca I have to disagree. For example, if Metallica tuned down to D standard in Sad but true, it's because the riff sounds heavier than in E standard. Drop B is too low though. You loose too much clarity.
@MaximeSolemn9 жыл бұрын
A.J. Petrarca No matter how many old-schoolers try to say it isn't true; if your bass and guitars chug an open B, while a kick hits OR your bass and guitars chug an open E while a kick hits, you'll know what sounds "heavier" :D

+Maxime Solemn .. You're as wrong as the day is long. Messhugah have used triple tunings on several entire albums; in fact they helped Ibanez create the modern baritone 8 & 9 string guitars, fact. Buy "Contradictions Collapse" and you'll hear for yourself 2 guitars, 1 tuned in B# and the other tuned in D, with the Bass tuned into C. Likewise, the heaviness is achieved not just by the tunings but also by the way the song is played by the person playing the instrument. Lastly, as much as I love LoG as far back to the days when they were "Burn the Priest" and their best song to date is #9, a BTP song .. No one is as heavy, fast & melodic as Messhugah.
