@@hussamjamil4980 there are plenty of short blocks on the market. I love thin guitars especially Ibanez S series. If you want a big fat heavy guitar get a Gibson. There is no science in the universe that shows thickness of a body on an electric guitar adds sustain, tone or anything. Gibsons have better sustain based on the overall design , arch of neck and break over angles of strings not because it is a big fat body.

I bought one when it debuted (pun certainly intended) on Amazon. I have several American Fenders from various years ranging from the 90s to 2021, but I also have an affinity for cheap guitars in the $100-$200 range. All the weird brand named ones I have play reasonably well. The Debut, though, plays exceptionally well. I did a little setup on it, not because it needed it but to set it up how I like it--took 15 minutes, I floated the trem, tuned and intonated because the floating changed stuff--.and it plays like a Fender. It even mostly sounds like a Fender though it's a bit brighter thanks to the ceramic pickups. Because I play, I'm often asked what to get for a player just starting out. I always tell people to get as close to $500 as you can (though there are some $200-ish Jacksons out there that are pretty sweet). I would not hesitate for a moment to tell someone to get one of these, especially if they were one of those who just want to try it on and see if guitar is really something they're interested in. The Debut is consistently a great guitar for the price. If you're a pro, it's not for you. Let be real, It's a $120 guitar, but I bet you can't get anything better for this price--and maybe better than some that costs a $200 more.

I just got myself the $200 Debut Strat package for Christmas. I’m really enjoying it but I will admit that being the beginner that I am… I wouldn’t know what I need to fix if there is any that a good set up would add. Like I noticed what I thought could have been a pickup not being shielded properly because of the hum and that hum would clear up when I held it. While annoyed I have since learned that it can be a single coil issue. I’m still happily going to continue playing it which is something that could be said when I have a classical acoustic guitar for years now. I’m considering putting together a video myself to explain why it might be a good choice for someone to begin on an electric guitar vs an acoustic guitar. The pros and cons I feel were mine our struggle with trying to pick up the damn guitar and just trying to learn how to play in the first place. While these things are fresh in my beginners mind.

If I had enough room to store one more guitar, I might give this axe a shot. If I had a younger relative or friend wanting to start learning guitar, I could get them something like this and then work with them on setting it up, thereby TEACHING them to set it up themselves. This process would demystify the guitar for the neophyte and grant them the confidence to deal with the guitar without fear. And if it gets damaged or wrecked, small loss! I just wouldn't get it for myself for the storage reason, plus my personal tastes run counter to 6-screw vibratos and 21-fret necks. I saw a review on here a couple days ago and thought why not for just $120? I'm really shocked at the great quality at this price. I'll have to put some better quality and heavier gauge strings on it. I think these come with 9's installed. On a guitar like this I would prefer 10s like on my Tele. I have to get a accustomed to this neck, compared to my jazz boxes it feels like I'm playing on a broom stick because it is thin in comparison, but well crafted and plays nicely. The satin finish in sunburst is nice and has a certain understated elegance to it. It sounds pretty good through a Twin Reverb. I don't really do much distortion. it's a keeper.

As the other astute commenters here explained, it is a full size Strat as far as the basic shape, but it is just a little thinner and indeed with this wood selection it is on the light side.
@seanhoward55629 ай бұрын
Look shorter in length, though.
@NoFearGuitarGear9 ай бұрын
@@seanhoward5562 That might be because Ryan is on the tall-side. It is exactly the same scale length and total length as a standard Fender Strat. The only difference that we could find is the body thickness, all else is exactly traditional Strat.

Do you have any other guitar you don't need again. I need a guitar😊😢

I just got that exact guitar.. it is not a Fender.. it's made in China FOR Fender using Fender specs. But it is in no way MADE BY FENDER. I'm not saying it's a bad guitar. It came not adjusted. The tuning was close, the action was super high. Had to do some major adjusting. It doesn't stay in tune, but that maybe because it's new and the strings haven't set in. Is it worth $120.00?, sure. It beats the Hell out of the off brand cheap guitars Amazon sells

Fender Modern Player series was made in China.

@BukanIbuMu oh, that makes it better..lol. I just bought the guitar less than a month ago and I have had to change the output jack. The pots are scratchy at best.. just saying it's NOT Fender quality. No matter who's name they put on it. It is fine for a beginner..like myself. It does seen to stay in tune pretty good. My other cheap guitars would jump around on the notes. On the low E, i would get from E to F# to D. Never could get them to hold a steady note.

That trem would be a deal breaker for me. Don't get me wrong, it IS part of the strat experience. But in functional terms, just give me a hardtail for the same price and I will be happy.

Thats a 5 star guitar for the price.
@NoFearGuitarGear9 ай бұрын
Thanks for chiming in here. As our guides explained it is hard to know if people expect the rating "for the price" or "under $200" or "as a reasonable priced guitar" so we opted to explain the thinking and let everyone decide how they would star rate it. We appreciate you joining that dialog.👍🏼

Your star system should have been compared to other guitars with a similar price point. You most certainly can give a five star rating for a 119.00 guitar if other guitars with the same value are not as good. If it was a 500.00 guitar it would have been worth 1 or 2 stars.

Fair point. This was really straight out of the box, our goal with this video was to show that knowing so many people that might end up with this guitar might have limited access to help with guitar setup. With a good setup this would be better in many ways. Thanks for being part of the dialog here!
