I will have to review your video a few times to get proficient at it. Just the process of disassembling it and putting it back together has been helpful. Thank you.

Just bought a brand new Beretta 92A1 as my first gun! I got my CCW permit as well, and my neighbor gave me a box of Speer Gold Dot 124gr JHPs for when I’m carrying the gun, and also gave me a ton of 124gr FMJs he reloaded so I can shoot those at the range. I’ve been shooting a lot, and figured I should clean the gun. Thanks for this video! It really helped me out.

I cleaned my new m9 A4 tonight. After a year. Lol. It was easy. Still not easier and faster than a Glock. But for a well made Italian it's maintains easy. I love it. It is a gun lovers gun for sure.

So first off...just go ahead. After you go ahead then just go ahead and go ahead. Then, all you have to do is go ahead and go ahead after going ahead. If you can't go ahead, then go ahead in order to go ahead again. Then...just go ahead. Alright! Go ahead! ;-) Good job man. Great stuff here! Thank you!

Just as a suggestion: The next time you film one of these videos, consider using a white pillowcase or towel as your working surface. As handy as the printed pad you have would be to a gun owner, it makes parts difficult to see due to the lack of contrast. Frankly, I use an old white hand towel when I field strip any of my pistols anyway as my tired old eyes need whatever help I can give them.

Here’s a tip for you. Turn your patches over. Twice the cleaning with the same patch. But what do I know.
@romeoalphafoxtrot95175 жыл бұрын
Sure use a brush, but get yourself a 9mm jag. Also get some solvent. it cuts the carbon and copper fouling much better than CLP. Don't get me wrong. CLP is better than nothing, but to really clean the bore properly you need a good solvent. Hoppe's 9 is what a lot of people use. Dip your brush in the Hoppe's and run it in and out of the bore 4 or 5 times, then run several patches through the bore with a jag. I like to use a nylon brush. If you don't like the stink of that, and you want a super clean bore, use some of the foaming bore cleaners out there. Follow the directions. Spray it in the bore and let it sit for an hour. Run several patches through the bore with a jag and you will see all kinds of crap come out of there even after you thought you cleaned it real good the first time with regular cleaners. Greenish blue patches indicate copper fouling. It's an eye opener for sure.

I use bottle full of diesel fuel fitted with nozzle spray. I spray diesel on frame and slide and keep the slide pointed downwards as well as the frame placed upside down for 5 minutes. Every thing is cleaned. Then i clean the barrel with cleaning rod. Then I use good amount of gun lube and automobile grade 2 grease to lube everything.

most people are a little OCD when it comes to the cleanliness of guns. modern gunpowder isn't as corrosive as the old days. I clean mine about every 10 trips to the range more or less. soapy water works wonders but usually use petroleum naphtha just because I have 5 gallons of it. hit it with a little wd40 after. maybe a little dab of frog lube on the rails and you're good to go.

You can get like a hundred round cotton patches like that for a dollar at a dollar store, they're for makeup or something. Still, you're right, might as well reuse an old shirt if you're going to throw it away anyway.

Been watching a ton of videos on safety/handling and needed to find out how to properly maintain it. Definitely saving this video to follow step by step until i get the hang of it.
