Movement is ok, though initial slide speed should be increased. The real problem is this lag compensation / bullet magnetism / aim assist stuff, which make people hit their shots even if they completely miss.

Is it harder if I'm using classic/alt I use Rb for rolling and running and Lb for wall bouncing but cant seem to do this

Dude, I feel like I’m so slow. I’m slowly raising my speed settings. But I honestly get lost in movement and trying to stay on target with my opponent and hit the shot.

Me and a lot of other pretty good players I’ve asked personally think wall bouncing is too slow, most fights if you play somewhat stationary you are going to win and it’s a lot easier for noobs to hit their shots on competitive players because of how slow it is, gears 3 if you were a proYou would get quints all day on scrubs or even decent players, Gears 5 can be hard sometimes even getting a quad especially if they are grouped up because they are walking and hitting every shot because you are limited and can only play so fast. I think if you are pro or good enough to control a fast bouncing speed you should be able to not as limited by the game. Gears 5 is still a good game tho I play it every day‼️🦾

I've noticed this change from Gears 4 to 5 myself. At first I just thought I sucked because the animations still seemed quick, but when I seen other people wall bouncing I noticed the slide is delayed more so than it was gears 4. I've been playing since Gears 1 though, so I've lost hope in any consistency whatsoever.

Unless they're complete scrubs, you can't walk into a quad and expect to survive the wall of shotgun. You could bounce into their "missed" shot. That you don't even realize this simple fact makes me doubt you're a "pretty good player."
