Worst part about this boss fight on insane is the BS jump attack that is incredibly hard to predict and dodge and will one shot you

This boss is just broken on insane. -She can jump on your head when you are blind -Her spikes feels like a hellfire missles, which hit you in roll -At some moment she starts just jumping, with extremly low chance to jump in water. Jack's flash cooldown is too long and can't do much help -If there is an ice colomn between camera and kait, you will shoot in this colomn, not forward

Upgrade jack flash to freezing. It will help you a LOT for the rest of the campaign. Trust me, I’ve completed it on insane.

Thanks for this. Other tips, if you tag the frag while shes over water, you'll get an extra freeze after she falls in. Also, Jack's upgraded Flash will freeze if in a jam or you run out of cryo ammo.

Amazing....freaking amazing... Let me tell ya, I gave up on this fight. I watched other videos and no one used this technique. Before I found your video I "Rage-Quit-Unistalled" this game for weeks until KZbin showed me your video. I wasn't gonna watch it but I saw 2.sumthin minutes, and figured "They must know what they talking about." Thing is it's just like the Kestrel fight, no one could show how to definitively avoid the missiles, but I figured out to jump forward and it changed everything. In addition to the freeze from Jack you can also pulse before hitting it, which - if you got the ultimate upgrade - adds 20% damage. Another way is to shoot the ground in front of you. It will charge and fall into the trap... Found this hard even on experienced but satisfying after finally having nailed the strategies. Pulse also helps on those blurry red bits and/or you can mark it for your teammates before. Makes it a lot easier to keep track of where it is.

@@JReeceyW when you hear matriarch scream or del say something after 3rd or 4th grenade, use stim to protect of the spears that her lanches. One tip is drop the cryo weapon not close of matriarch because the time of animation to get the weapon could kill you.

The way I did this is when she throws her spike and misses you if you just stop moving and not try to get her attention she will just walk up to to you slowly and non of all that jumping over the ice all the time.

This isn't a cheating way but just another strategy. Definitely the easiest strategy considering after half life, she starts jumping across the map to avoid the ice and pounce on you. Btw gnasher doesn't do shit on that open spot lol

On insane it only took me 2 attempts. I didn’t know those cryogenic cannons were there but it is predictable. It usually throws a spike then runs at you. It shouldn’t jump if u only walk and don’t get hit by a spike

That part sucks... You can shoot the ice and make enemies fall in and freeze to death. However this doesn't work with enemies protected by the Bastions/over shields. Try to take those guys out first at all costs. Del will be no help to you unfortunately. Use Jack's stim and shock trap/s.

Definitely utilize the shock trap. You can use it to cover one side and juvies can’t get in at all during the first part. The second part, save your explosives and use those to drown the scions covered by bastions. You can also shoot them out, but it’s risky because if you peek for too long, the drones will kill you. I kept shock trap and stim on for this part so I could kill the bastions without worrying about dying

@@ianjohnson5752 Actually it does work with enemies protected by the robot shield generator. The robot shield generator just moves on and starts protecting another enemy. Which is probably why you got confused.

Retro Lancer and gnasher do the magic for me... use gnasher fr his back attack..and retro when he comes near you walking break the glass underneath him.. don't go way too away.. make him come to the pond side.. he will slowly walk to you.. break ice .. shoot his motherfucking back

Jack Spicer shock traps are great for for a good portion of that, and if you have the lance gl save it for the warden. For me, I use the turret to clear out the grenadier and juvies but when the warden comes use the sandbags left of the turret to keep some distance from him but don’t take cover. Don’t know if this’ll help but it worked for me. Good luck.
