Each act has it's distinct, rage inducing, sometimes even luck based challenges. Act 1: it's the Gunkers Act 2: it's the Digger's, Ticker's, the Barge hijacking and the Reavers Act 3: It's the Boomer's and Lambent Berserker Imulsion fumes Act 4: it's the gas station Act 5: it's the ridiculous amount of Lambent on the ground between the towers, the serapedes, and the armored Kantus Act 6: it's the armored Kantus, Gunker with lambent support, and Queen Myrrah. Plus you constantly battle ammunition shortages and friendly AI stupidity the whole way. Not for the faint of heart.

10:07 For anyone that is doing an insane run, you can skip this fight with the boomshot right before crossing the bridge. Shoot the pods that spawn the gunkers before they appear and the whole fight gets skipped.

@@RetroGemini99 Same, I've been re running it after not finishing it years ago and its....well insane. Most of the game is fine, but there are some serious spikes in difficulty. Like the developers just wanted to stack as much BS on you as possible, and not give you good checkpoints so you have to perfect the run. The Gunkers are especially tough enemies, and the first level has no less than 6 of them. What a way to start a campaign.

This was the only gears game where you can save yourself some pain by playing in arcade mode. The modifiers make it way easier, but don’t let it get to your head since you still die in a few shots.

Insane mode is truly insane. I swear, most of those deaths are just unfair bs. I don't mind hard challenges but this one just takes it too far. It's just as hard as the Dark Souls games but probably more unfair.

It's not easy I'll tell you that this was my first time playing on Insane difficulty. I played on hard-core mode in the past before I started youtube if you haven't checked out the walkthroughs of the first three games on my channel make sure you check them out they may help you form some of your own strategies of getting through certain chapters.

The thing that realy pissed me off was not only having to deal with the grubs it was your own teammates running right into your line of fire' pinching your ammo drop' pushing you out of cover , now i dont know if this was by design by the coders or not but it pissed me off big time & still do' .....

I haven’t played this game in like a year and a half maybe. I tried beating this on insane for the first time too, but I left off my play through on the final fight against Myrrah because I kept dying. I’m surprised I even decided to keep playing after dying multiple times in the previous missions. To this day, I’m still debating whether I should go back to finish it because I made so much progress to leave it there, but then again, the fight is just too stressful and will ruin my day 😤

Seriously, screw the Gunkers in Act 1, they are the reason why I forfeited my Insane difficulty run. Update: I finally got through both the Stadium Gunker and Bridge Gunker and have made it through most of Act 2, and now I’ve found myself stuck on the barge hijacking. Update 2: After an entire year I’ve finally picked up Gears 3 again and have finished the campaign on insane. Hardest part for me: Queen Myrrah Boss Total Deaths: 258 (Yes I kept count.)

Ik I'm late as all hell but the trick to the barge hijack is stay behind the middle building and hug the covers while facing the barge. The mortars will have a significantly lower chance to actually get you and all you need to do is to have grenades and a torque ready to off the guard duos and keep rotating.

@@Ro-fw3lc Thanks for the advice, even though it is really late and I’ve made it past the barge. Honestly if I knew that right off the bat I’d have probably made it past that part a lot faster. I’m on the final act right now, but I haven’t actually picked up the game in a bit to really throw in any attempts at whatever part I left off on.

Nah I'm not going to lie I'm average at Gears this was my first time playing on Insane mode so I had to relearn how to deal with enemies when I died but if you haven't check out my walkthroughs of the first three games on my channel I think I did pretty good for the videos I put out.
