I grew up in this era of gaming and to me at least that era was the last good era of gaming. I've played Xbox one and PS4 and to me a lot of those games lack the quality of story and characters the older era did.

I miss having my little brother with me all the time, he played as Dom during all 3 games. We both cried when we lost him. Haven’t played with anybody else since I left to the army over ten years ago.

Same, I was always Dom and we both cried when he died. My brother always played as Marcus and he's been gone now for a while. Our Xbox had the red ring of death and we didn't know our login info, years later we started new accounts and I have been playing on both of our accounts to get our stuff back. And when he comes back I hope to play again and pick up where we left off

It was sad losing Dom, but it hit a lot harder having read Aspho Fields. I didnt expect them to kill him off. Figured it would be Cole. Then bam, Marcus loses his little brother. Damn that hurt. I thought Marcus crying while he held what was left of Carlos in the book was rough, and then that. Not to mention Cole writing letters to his deceased mom. As someone who lost their mom, that was brutal, too. What a beautifully heavy series.

Gears of War, Gears of War 2, Gear of War 3. Games that will always be in my heart, forever. My best friends, my brothers, to this day I met through this franchise. 15+ years playing with them. We have met in person, we have laughed, we have cried, we have celebrated, we have mourned. What a fascinating era. I would love to live those days again. But I doubt that will happen. I guess that is what makes those days so special.

Never played Gears... In fact I don't play games at all. But I have this compulsion to watch these videos. The ash corpses are just incredibly sad... Especially the mother holding her child and clutching her baby. Not sure how a person could be human again after witnessing something like that in real life.

Great job man. Made me tear up. I remember being 12 and bawling my eyes at Dom's death. I can't even tell you how many times I've played through 1-3. Just fantastic games. Shame that 4 and 5 dropped the ball so hard, the only good thing about 4 was the trailer. The only good thing about 5 was that it was so forgettable. I'm on my knees praying to God that Gears E-Day is good. I don't really have a lot of hope, but I have some.

After 13 years I realized the only reason why a devastated Dom took Marcus out becuase he knew deep in his heart that the only man in that schoreched world would cross hell with him to find Maria. After they found her Dom lost all affection for anything , he just wanted to die. I understand him now I dont ever want to be there.........fuck.
