I agree that gears 1 was the best MP because there was less fluidity of movement and therefore you couldn't wall bounce and rushing was much harder and therefore was a lot more methodical as it was supposed to be, but gears 3 is definitely a very close second MP wise

Gears 1 was the sheeeet! Online was some of the best multiplayer I played back in the day and i dont have xbox one and this will defin make my mind up again as i do miss the days of playing this game. And not having to worry bout servers and host advantage which was all the rage!

Wow! Looks freaking great, exactly what I was hoping for. Gears of war 1 type graphics & (visual)feel, GOW2 speed & movements (faster than GOW, slower than GOW3 & judgement)....and hopefully GOW3 & Judgement extras like ammo & gun sharing, breechshot & game variants, and especially client side hit detection...love the traditional cog vs locust faceoff.

One thing that is good for sure though is no f#cking retro lancers. I personally hate that cheap ass, over powered piece of sh!t weapon.

Reason I love this game because it really requires skills to be good at it, it's not like COD or other shooting games, and Gears 1 was a perfect example of that, Gears 2 imo was the worst one, more options yeah but shit gameplay and laggy af.

Just two things. I wonder if this will change by time the game is released but, they don;t fill in with bots when people leave the game? That and the chain sawing animation looks very under developed and clunky but then again, it is just a beta, so they may address that. Other then that, consider this vid liked.

It's all the same gears 1 animations they won't change the chainsaw animations or cover animations etc because they wanna keep the same gears 1 feel but remastered ya know and also there may be bots on release but this was a beta...although there was no bots in gears 1 :)

They changed how the aiming with the sniper works. When you aim with the longshot, the reticle will be wide then it closes in. So it makes it harder to quick shot

Beta is sooo fun. Only thing I hate is how inaccurate the shooting can be. Takes me a few shots to shoot a downed player, but I got use to it. Great game! Can't wait for the full release !

I don't know. When I compare it to GOW3 (which I know it's not), aside from the graphics being cleaner, that is about all it has over it. I never really played one so I know it is unfair for me to compare what all can be done in 3 as opposed to this one. It seems slower and despite the 60fps, it looks a bit clunky with death and explosion animations especially. Can't really judge it until the final version comes out I guess but I will invest in it regardless. I guess it is good however to say that I will get the Gears one experience that most already had will I didn't and seeing as how I never played Gears 1- I will have a genuine virgin experience but with an enhanced version- life is good lol.
