Gears unavailable, Check Handbook Code keeps coming up and we have no gears, so the motorhome is not going anywhere at the moment.
Two weeks out from our lap of Australia and now we are on hold while we wait repairs.

Hi Andrew, I have been trying to find some time time do a follow up video, but have not been able to do it yet. So I will answer your question the best I can with the invoice I got from Foley Automotive. They had to remove the gearbox before they could tell me what was wrong. This was going to cost $ 1700.00 just to remove the Gearbox. Once they removed the gearbox they provided me with an overall quote of just over $ 8,000.00 to repair the transmission. They replaced: Pump, Relay V5, Bottom Ball Joints, Belt & Belt Tensioner, Clutch Kit, Release Bearing W/SL, Clutch Pump, and charged me for Sealant Gasket, Sealant Gasket RH, Geartech Oil x 1 Litre, Bake Fluid x 1 Litre They also found some other issues not relating to the Transmission, and because we were doing this trip we got that work done as well. Brake pads and rotors, Coolant Hose & Clamps. All up it cost us $ 9,550.55 I also purchased an Electro Valve off them, and fitted that myself. Cost of Valve was $ 454.05, which is included in the above total. I hope this goes some way to answering any questions you may have had in relation to your Fiat. Kind Regards Dave
