Lots of people commenting on the noise restrictions at NCM- it's not the track trying to be killjoys, it's the fact that the track was built extremely close to neighborhoods, without any "noise abatement" structures. The result is neighbors who are constantly pissed off, and a bunch of guys with Corvettes that can't even show off how loud they made them. Check out this article from an organization with the hilarious name "Noise Free America." Seems like a group of folks who'd be fun to share some beers with, assuming you're drinking those beers in a library. www.prnewswire.com/news-releases/bowling-green-kentucky-an-obnoxiously-loud-race-track-300505090.html

Curious if the homes were built there AFTER the race track was already there. Laguna Seca comes to mind....
@GearsandGasoline3 жыл бұрын
@@ApexClubRacer no, they were there already. Presumably they were deadset on the track location because it was next to the Corvette Museum and near the factory.

@Gears and Gasoline ah that’s fair game then. Some noise abatement + restrictions would be fair game then. By the way, congrats on the podium!! A decade ago, I owned a white 2005 evo 8 GSR (w/ ssl package for those hardcore evo diehards) with Jdm 8 tails and 9 rear bumper too, so seeing your car on the track was nostalgic.
@ApexClubRacer3 жыл бұрын
I JUST remembered my front Brembos did the same thing on my car, the caliper bolt backed out due to the stiff fortune auto coils I had on my car, and my calipers also hit the inner barrel too. Not at the track though, so damage was minimal. What a coincidence.

Such a healthy event. Competitors healping each other. As achiles said to hector when he tripped "i wouldn't let a stone take my glory" in this case. They wouldn't let a broken wheel take their glory. Very good sportsmanship.

Yeah, no kidding, one of the most offbeat ways to lose a wheel. The fact that everything else was still working and he got the car back up by the next day, and managed to snag a podium, just makes it even more epic. It may have made for an expensive weekend, but it could've been so much worse... I was worried he lost control and wiped out when it happened.

You need to vent at the block as well and did you made the valve cover holes bigger for -10an? That will help a lot specially for this cars. Also modified your oil pan, the high oil pressure made them starve of oil specially cornering and they spin the bearings. If you do the valve cover then you need to remove the baffles and drill and tap them again since they are rivet in place.
