@ZingyDNA I'm totally aware of Pavlovich not being an attacker. But modern defenders like her tend to attack from time to time. This obviously is most effective if the opponent is standing wide in their FH or BH side. By staying in the middle, Dodean does not allow really dangerous attacks from Pavlovich. Pavlovich would probably have won if Dodean had played constantly aggressive (and had not pushed almost every third ball, which is certainly not the worst thing to do).

Прекрасная игра Виктории Павлович, игра на дистанции, + она крутила ракетку при игре и конечно поддержка родной сестры, на скамейке!!! Браво...🏓🏓🏓

@fritzi0 Pavlovich is not an attacker. It wouldn't have been such a grinding match if Dodean didn't stay at the middle and used her forehand attack most of the time. Then again, she probably doesn't fast enough footwork so she chose to stay in the middle and just push on her backhand side...

The way Dodean remains nearly stationary during the rallies is quite interesting. Most players would probably try using their forehand much more often. By staying where she is, Pavlovich's attack are much less successful as Dodean doesn't open up one side of the table.

Pavlovicks long pips side is not very dangerous, Feint Long 2 is not the heavy chopping rubber that Feint Long 3 or TSP Curl P-1r or P4 are.

Dodean's loops are too predictable - there's just one speed, and one placement - all her loops are invariably cross- court, which means pavlovich can twiddle and anticipate every chop beforehand. Dodean needs more loops down the line.

@DaFaiGai Isn't it ironic? Long pimples aren't even the rubbers causing the spin in the first place. For people who hate long pips and can't read the spin and rhythm, if anything you're confused by your own spin and rhythm.

What about Daniela, invisible elders?!?!?! she won, what about her, being good ??? Oh, she's staying in the middle, she's this and that...FACE IT!!! SHE IS GOOD!!!
