About to take my pre-test through the state today! The practice tests were definitely harder than I was expecting but to anyone who thinks they’re too old for the GED - I am 32. If I go back to college I can have a degree by 36! You guys don’t let your age hold you back!!! Do it for you!!

Update: I passed the pre-test with 163 for Language Arts! My best advice is to read the entire sections fully and carefully! I used process of elimination for the questions that were tricky, don’t forget to look for supporting evidence of your answer. Good luck everyone!

I am so proud of people aged more than 30 who are preparing for the GED Test. We can't use age as an excuse. I helped a lady who was 47 years old and she passed her Math Test with 161 points. It was the only subject she needed. This means that YES WE CAN if we focus and study. BE CONFIDENT, PRACTICE, AND BE PATIENT TO YOURSELF.

Sweepy57 I did it at a testing center, math isn’t all that hard man... just study and you’ll be good. What are you studying rn? My plan was to pass science, SS first (easy ones) and then do the hardest (math) then RLA. Plan is going well. Passed all first try as well.

@@kevin.710 math was mostly pre algebra and algebra 1, of course they barely give you any geometry questions which is easy. 😑

I was confident going into it I was hoping to score a 160+ as this was supposedly one of my favorite most dominant subjects as a kid. I scored a 153 passed but I’m very disappointed. Not exactly sure why I scored so low when I studied and gave it my all but I’m grateful that I passed. Thank you for everything man.

I’ve worked in the oil field my entire life and at 35 I can’t deny it anymore I need a GED! Signed up for classes and did the practice test and I’m on a 11 to 12th grade level. I never thought I would be doing this but with the assault on American Oil and 20 million illegals comin through or boarders you need an education to set yourself apart from a laborer!

Yes I agree so much with you I was talking classes n they suggested I do the math first because they said it is the hardest so I did. Now that I’m in RLA I disagree with them the math was so much easier and I was so much more into it than I am with the RLA I can’t wait to just get this all over with and under my belt so I can move onto bigger things!!!!
