I wore a quilted jacket my mom made when I was in high school in the early 70’s. She was not a quilter but was a fantastic garment maker. She cut up an old quilt that needed a new life and it was beautiful. I also had a lovely crocheted long vest that she made for me! She was such an amazing mother! ❤

I don't recall wearing any quilted garments in school but I did sew a lot of my clothes back then. Now I'm hooked on making quilts and smaller quilted projects.

I don't remember wearing anything quilted until my mom bought a beautiful denim quilted jacket not long before she passed. It has such special meaning. Mom didn't sew, neither did I. I'm glad I can make a quilted jacket, my grandma would be so happy I finally love quilting.

My mom did not sew or quilt so I never wore anything that was home sewn in my high school years. I didn't start sewing until college and thoroughly enjoyed it but I now enjoy quilting much more than garment sewing. A quilted jacket is definitely on my bucket list.

I couldn't make the live show but happy to be able to rewatch later. In the 70's when at High School I remember the Quilted Vests but also knitted vests were big back then too.

I dont remember wearing any quilted clothing in high school in the mid 70’s. But I do remember embroidering flying geese on my blue jeans bib overalls I made. I loved those overalls.

1966-1970 it was not a thing to quilt garments but I did make all my clothes. wool and poleyester was the fabric choices back then. I didn’t switch over to quilting until about 30 years ago. Might sometime make a quilted vest but I will have a favorite fabric quilted not cutting up a quilt!

High school was 1978-1981. No quilted clothing was in style, but I had a down vest that was sort of quilted, wore it all the time for at least 2 years (10th and 11th grade)

I had the best quilted vest (Cats on a wall) that is currently MIA. (And I have twins who wanted to dye their hair in middle school - one went with a maroon tint, one purple)

I don't remember ever wearing anything quilted, but I want to make a jacket now. I just need to figure out what quilt to do. I made some quilted bags from the fabric that came already quilted.
