*CORRECTION - these are made in Taiwan. I looked at the wrong side of the package and saw Germany.
Just picked up the Gedore Red 63-2 Ratcheting Spanners Part #R07501002. I picked these up to be a metric set to go with my Klein Quadwrench Set that is similar.
You can see the Klein Quadwrench Video Here - • NEW! Klein Ratcheting ...
In this video I share the cost, where I bought it, and show how it is works to help you decide if it's the right tool for you.
Hope it is useful & THANKS FOR WATCHING!

FYI - The Gedore are made in Taiwan.. not Germany. My bad.. I missed the “Made In” on the other side of the package. And I thought they were all mad in Germany. The Size Combinations for the Gedore are 8MM-5/16" flipped to 10MM-3/8" and 11MM-7/16" flipped to 13MM-1/2" on the smaller wrench. Then 14MM-9/16" flipped to 16MM-5/8" and 17MM-11/16" flipped to 19MM-3/4" on the larger Klein is 1/4" flipped to 5/16" and 3/8" flipped to 7/16" on the smaller wrench. Then 1/2" flipped to 9/16" and 5/8" flipped to 3/4" on the larger.

One thing I do that might get you to Shoot and Piss on , and invoice me for the Bullets and Labour ; I must confess I carry a Leatherman Surge , mostly as a “ Second Chair “ pair . Long back story , I hate fixed blade Drywall saws , they cause damage big time and injure people ! Folding ones are too fat and bulky ( like my ex Wife ) . I have switched over to “ T” shank jigsaw blades , using them in the “ T” shank adaptor of the surge . Once dull , fire them into the recycle bin ! I carry them in a leather slip , attached to the Surge pouch with a Paracord leash ! When dull , just recycle , lots of lengths and options !

I had just mentioned that I hadn’t used a multitool in a long time. I need to look into them, they are likely much better now than they used to be (most other tools are) Thanks for the suggestion 👍

@@MORGANSMaintenance They come with many more options , including better steels , Leatherman has replaceable cutters on the newer Waves, Charges , and the Surge ! ( 154 CM , quite a respectable blade steel a few models have S30V blad steel as an option ! All that said the heat treat they use on the 420 HC is pretty good for many/ most application . I don't know if you watch tools and tactics/ electrical connection but he has a good point of view on husky vs klein. The 1/2in on the small wrench is a big deal for alot of people. I think klein if they did a few tweaks could have made a widely accepted wrench. It's hard to go into a market that has a generic pattern with tiny differences and be successful with people that already bought the established product.

Gedore tools certainly last, I still have a full set of open-ended spanners of theirs from when I started my sprogship 30 years ago. I have a number of their hand tools in my different loadouts, but they do tend to be at the pricier end of the market. The 63 in 2 does seem to be a little bit cheeky really to me.

Initial "G" is pronounced the same as in "ground" and you also pronounce the final "E". Gedore is from Germany, established in 1919 by three brothers Dowidat in the town of Remscheid. The name is acronym of brothers Dowidat from Remschei. Gedore Red is a sub-brand of cheaper tools. Regular Gedore tools are blue. Once Gedore had lifetime guarantee without any asterisks - your broke/lost/abused your tool or it was stolen, they would send you a new one. Thus they were even pricier than Snap-On. And better quality.

I noticed they were primarily blue… wondered why these were “RED” in name. Thanks for the info 👍

@@MORGANSMaintenance That's one of those stupid trends to get a bigger slice of a money cake. The only thing it does it undermines the original brand. Makita had his cheaper brand named Maktec and it was a good idea. High end and lower end of the same company should newer have similar names. Especially when the company started as a high end.
@MORGANSMaintenance
@MORGANSMaintenance 4 ай бұрын
@Stefan_Kawalec yeah the same name isn’t probably a good idea. If someone buys a cheaper tool as their first not knowing the difference… it could leave them a lasting impression of your brand. These seem pretty decent. As good as any other ones I’ve seen, but I don’t typically buy Snap-On etc. If I was a mechanic… maybe, but I won’t use them enough to spend that kinda money.

Thoes are interesting for future reference gedore red is kinda like bluepoint to snapon. It dosent mean there bad quality and ussaly the country of origin is the difference. Taiwan makes some great wrenches they give me far less pause than China. Spline intrigues me since crescent x6 aren't the size I'd like. I do run into square fasteners often actually. I do wish they were made in Germany and would be willing to pay a bit more because of that. The one thing about these that makes me wonder how useful they would be is the main reason I use these tools is crust toilet bolts and rusty/not clean fasteners. If I had to carry one small gedore instead of 2 small huskys for metric and sae may be worth it in the end. Thanks for comming out with a out of the box option 👍

I've been using the my Kleins a ton since I got them. Super Handy. Just wish they woulda skipped 1/4" and gave you an 11/16" instead because I've already ran into a few situations where I needed it. I was thinking about getting the Capri set which skips 1/4" and they also sell it with a matching metric set

Yeah, less tools in a bag/vehicle is always a plus. In my garage I don’t mind using individual, but I try to save space in my work. Yeah I have used it a handful of times. To me it works just as well as my other one, but the size is much better. I was afraid the shorter blade wouldn’t work as well, but I’ve noticed no difference. I’ve only used in on drywall.
