seems more a review of the app than the heater. Is the heater reliable? Is it wall mountable? Doesit heat a normal size room?
@geekanoids
@geekanoids Жыл бұрын
Very reliable. Not wall mountable. I use in my 3m x 4m office and it works well.

Thank you for the video! Do you need to add some oil into the heater after using it for a time?

Sorry I no longer have this to check. However, being a sealed unit that should not be necessary.

Nice heater, I do like the ability to program it to turn on and off. I could have used it today it is currently 19F (-7.2C) right now!

Thanks for the review. How have you found the reliability of the app and cloud service? I've read some app reviews that say it's been dodgy lately with the device failing to turn on or off properly on schedule when their servers are down. Have you experienced this?
@geekanoids
@geekanoids 3 жыл бұрын
Yes. I have had this. I put the unit on a smart plug.

Can you leave the heater on overnight, if it goes to hot will it explode or cause danger, when over heat?
@geekanoids

I have used this two years now and overnight with no issues. Please check with the manufacturer if you are unsure.

How long does it takes to warm your room at specific temperature you set? Also how long it turn off before it turn back on again to reheat the room back to the specific? Thanks temperature.
@geekanoids
@geekanoids 2 жыл бұрын
That’s difficult to say, as it depends on the size of the room, start temperature etc. I have mine in my office, which is 12ft x 12ft and from 18 degrees it takes about an hour to raise the temperature by 1 degree.

Thanks. That was very helpful. My bedroom is 13x15 and during winter it drops to 10C. I like to raise to 14C during sleep time. It might work if I have it set 3 hours ahead before sleep.

Great video. One question; if it would be plugged into a smart socket and you remotely switch on the smart socket (so without making use of the Mill app) will it start heating right away when the power is supplied via the smart socket, or do you still need to use the app to start it make it start heating up?
@geekanoids
@geekanoids 3 жыл бұрын
It would start heating up if the thermostat is set high enough.

Wonder what will be cheaper in winter 2022 in europe, gas or electric?
@geekanoids
@geekanoids 2 жыл бұрын
I think gas will be cheaper. That said a storage type heater that retains heat could be something to consider.

Seems my last message got deleted. I was wondering if you could provide an update on how you're finding this unit after living with it for not far off a year now? Found any problems or annoyances since buying? Could you also tell me whether the heater works without the mill app or must it be operated through the app? I've not managed to find this out with a google search but thinking about going for one for this winter, just trying to find out all I can before purchase. Thanks.
