One of the best dmz experiences i had was when i teamed up with randoms and we faced a solo who killed me. We didnt know he was solo, but they dipped and headed for the exfil. However the weapon case guys were also headed to the same exfil so after a stalemate, they drove back to my dead body, got me back in, gas started closing so we ran downhill of zaya observatory, nabbed a hostage contract, cleared it, and had to run back up hill with the hostage to the personal extract location and made it out right as our gas masks were breaking. It was intense.

A side-note for Tip 2: While in your Inventory, when you hover over your weapons, you get the option to "Drop Ammo" which drops the ammo from your weapon's ammo reserves. So that way you don't need to drop your weapons to do the trick. Hope this helps👍

Definitely. And choose to stow your tactical and leathal. Less to pick up. Also if you get caught by froggy AI or Thirsty Players, you have your weapons at the ready.

I use middle mouse button for reload, and it's also the button to drop ammo. Sadly, it doesn't drop the ammo when set up like this.

Bonus Tip: Revive Pistol only works if it's equipped. You may have multiple revive pistols in your backpack HOWEVER if you use one, it doesn't re-equip one from the backpack. Bonus Tip 2: If you use an equipped an Ammo box, you may notice that if you have one in your backpack and try to equip it, it wont be useable. I don't know if that's deliberate or a glitch. In any case, you can get it to work by finding another equipment (like revive pistol), and THEN swapping it out for the Ammo box. It will then be usable. Same thing for Armour box

regarding the ammo box bug: right click the corresponding "empty" slot in your inventory. that will drop another ammo box that blocked the slot without being visible or usable. DOUBLE AMMO!

Bonus tip: if you/your squad mates pick up two uav radios that the AI drop at the same time, it causes a bug that pings every ai and player in your radius for the rest of the game.

For tip number 2. there is a trick with the ammo box to make it last for ever. If you throw out your ammo box and use it. than go and equip another item into that slot it can make the ammo box reappear at your feet and you can equip it again. Its doesn't seem to work every time but i haven't really tested what causes it to stop coming back to you.

Also for Tip 9, I can confirm the "Urban Legend" is a thing. To state again, if you are the last player/squad and there are still Hunt Squad Contracts, then they will disappear.

If you're the last team, when the "Eliminate Squad" contracts disappear it will give you a short notification sound. Also, the final exfil is the safest exfil 9 times outta 10 (been grinding that calling card challenge out), rarely do I run into another squad. Having a throwing knife as your lethal allows you to knife enemies instead of punching. Smoke grenades make for quick getaway cover/protection as AI will lose track of you - Ideal to use at the bottom of ladders or at gas stations when refueling.

Fun fact, if you’re carrying a hostage and your teammate goes down and you revive them it will glitch and let you hold your weapon out with the hostage I use it to have an LMG with the hostage 😂

The hunt squad disappearing is confirmed. I saw them in real time disappear after people exiled. Twice now i never saw anyone at the final exfil. Each time there was someone they still existed.

One thing I’ve found about the ammo box, even after I’ve used it and have an empty field upgrade space, if I pick up a different field upgrade, it’ll drop an ammunition box as if I still had it. I’ll then pick up my ammo box again and I’m good to go

You should be able to press R/Right Click (Whatever your drop button is) on the Field Upgrade slot and it will drop a full one. It's because it's coded like MP where you build up your Field Upgrade, but you don't actually build up charge in DMZ so it just stays permanently at 0%

No.10 - you can prevent rez by grabbing the dog tags from the downed player, for as long as you keep them on you that player’s teammates will be able to track you, but if you sell them at buy station that player is done, no rez possible

Yes I've both done it and had it happen to me now that more people know about it. The one time I went in with a team rather then solo my buddy got downed and I pinged his location and circled around killed 2 players and couldn't find the third after feeling sure it was either a 2 man or the third took off I went back to try and rev. My buddy and the option was gone despite still being able to communicate with him so I knew it wasn't that he had backed out he was able to spectate for me and take a 3rd person perspective to help me still.

12 side note. Along side suppressed weapons, takedowns are basically stealth kills even if the animation uses a loud weapon.

Let me tell you something about ammo box i noticed, after u use ur ammo box sometimes u can get it back. All u need to do is pick random field upgrade and its gonna drop ammo box like u still got it then u can pick ammo box to use it again later but not sure if its always work.

You can duplicate any weapon by leaving your secondary empty dieing all the way (not just drop )have a friend pick you up ( bring you back to life ) then exfil without picking up any other weapon unless you have a big bookBag and stow it away… once your game ends you will see you have two of the same weapons. If you’re driving a car or truck with a friend to the extract, tell your friend to get on the roof or bed, when you drive over the exfil you don’t even have to stop your truck your friend can start the exfil while you keep driving he doesn’t even have to get off the vehicle. Same thing applies to helis. Hope this helps someone

I haven't seen anyone say this one, there is a tower in-between the locked hotel and the cemetery, you can jump from the top to the roof of the hotel with out fighting anyone surrounding it.

For tip #2, you can actually hit a hotkey and drop all the ammo for each weapon while mousing over it (not sure how to do it on controller) - that way you dont have to drop and pick up your weapons, makes it quicker and easier

When I see a UAV tower red I stay outside the radius until it goes white, then I sprint to a position overwatching/surrounding it. That's the drawback, it reveals your position. A player with killstreak UAVs has a huge advantage in a fight with these players

So I was chatting about this yesterday. Yes and no. In battle Royale you can't camp a location cause the gas will eventually get you. In dmz there's nothing to make players move and since they get notified they are being hunted and a bar on how close you are. They just have to get to a tall building camp it and they win. It's suicide ti go after them. They have to tweak it for the dmz and then I would agree.

Best experience I’ve had in DMZ is that I was running with the boys. Got dropped in and forgot to assign a gun. A team of operators spawn hunted us and were shooting at my buddies. One of my buddies downed2 of them and was in an engagement with the last operator but was pinned. I didn’t have a freaking gun and decided let’s try and flank him ( worst case I die but draw fire for my friend to knock him) I successfully flanked the operator without him noticing and while he was engaging my buddy I executed him with the tomahawk assassin kill and took his 3 plate and gun 😅 it was rad

For me the ammo box automatically recharges if you find another field upgrade, it drops a fresh box in place of whatever you picked up so let's say you find a drone after using your box, pick up the drone and it drops a fresh box to pick up, badda bing badda boom.

Suppressors work but their audio sometimes doesn't sound suppressed. Like RPK with suppressor has very loud fire sound and even echo. I guess that is a audio bug in game. I would expect silenced sound.

Question…. How do you use a Revive Pistol on yourself..? Does it work when you go down, or can only a Self Revive save you when solo..?

It's works the exact same way as self revive. When you get downed you'll be able to have the prompt to use it. 2 things you need to know tho. 1. If you have a self revive and a self revive pistol it'll use the SR Pistol first. 2. You can't do the self revive trick with the pistol. In this video I showed you how you can do it 3/4 of the way then you can stop and your teammate does the rest. The self revive pistol is just once you use it you are using it.

@Geekseh , Sorry, I have to correct that, seen it doesn't work the exact same way : 1. A self revive kit works from your loadout slot and also from your backpack slot (in case you have two of them, it will first use the one from your backpack) and can only be used on yourself / 2. A self revive pistol only works if you have it equipped in the Field Upgrade slot, it doesn't work from your backpack. You can use it on yourself and also on your teammate, by shooting the pistol in his direction.

First off, nice work Geekseh :) Not gonna lie, those tips aren't bad, surely not as bad as those tips that other EFT Streamers are putting out there. However, I think that this video is much more useful for players who step into DMZ for their first time or just play it casually. From my own experience in DMZ and other parts of MW2, let me get some real pro tips out there: - Get ingame hours to understand the mechanics of DMZ - Always carry a silenced weapon that you can snipe with, players and bots won't see or hear it coming - If you wanna level up fast, extract only with items that have the golden overlay which marks high value - Do Savecracker and HVT missions for money, good loot and access to valuable keys - DDOS field upgrades can disable vehicles within range, including helicopters - Get control over SAM sites to get air superiority - Use not only the minimap, but also the large one as such as pinging to your advantage - Plan your route from the point you spawn to the best* Exfil
