The cell is amazing. It is like a sci-fi version of silence of the lamps, but obviously not as good as silence of the lambs. The visuals in this movie are incredible and I would imagine it will look stunning on Blu-ray and 4K. I have the old cardboard DVD snap case of this so I am really excited about this release from arrow. Definitely check this movie out, man.

I received mine early. It looks good but it's not spectacular. It's not going to be one of the best of year. But definitely looks better than ever.

Lack of a Blu-ray for Smile 2 is not an accident, Paramount first did that with Transformers One last year, only standard 4k, steelbook 4k and DVD

You're 100% correct. I guess I missed that with Transformers One. Looking like Gladiator 2 from paramount is going to do the same. So I guess that is the new norm this year from them.

Paramount are focusing on 4K only , which is unfair to anyone who doesn’t want to pay 4k prices . Blu Ray is say is minimum picture quality to go especially if you have 4k Tv of Projector

Yeah, it is looking that way. I wonder if this is an experiment from paramount or a permanent change. I'll have to keep up with it.

Inglourious Basterds is not a new film transfer. Arrow will be redoing the color and it will have a new encode. But the transfer is the same.

Thank you for the clarification; good info. Given those changes, it will probably be an improvement over the original 4K release. Arrow usually does a great job with their releases. At least it will be an improvement from my blu-ray...
