Nice mix of products and reviews from 2024. I do love my new Panasonic G9 mark 2 which I use on hikes (replaced my reliable old G9 which I gave to my niece). I did buy a Panasonic S9 too, although the lack of a viewfinder is a disappointment, the removal of video limits was a big firmware win there. I got the 18-40mm lens for it, but haven't used it enough to develop a strong opinion about it other than its compact size. Both of those cameras were the high points for me this year. I still would like something like the S9 for micro four-thirds, but of course with a viewfinder. Perhaps in 2025?

Can S9 record 1080p two hours continuous recording?

I could record 4k 25p until the battery went flat which was almost 2 hours. Check my battery rundown test in the S9 Firmware update video I posted a while back. That test was done in the studio and not in the sun.

Great video. I want to upgrade my original G9 to a mark 2, but since the mark 2 came out, the mark 1 is now worth like nothing lol, eBay is full of listing for like $400-500. So $300 is probably where it will sell, then eBay will take like $50... So... maybe it's just time to just buy some more lens for it.

You could always keep the G9 as a backup camera instead of selling it for a massive loss. eBay fees are brutal, you might be better selling it on a site like Gumtree or Facebook marketplace if you use either of them.
