Hi there. Well your you tube tutorial very good thanks. Prob have to watch it a few times to get the hang of using mine. You mentioned they get warm when charging. Mine gets very hot after just a minute or so. Is that correct? Also, trying mine, it doesnt react as you show on vid for some reason. Any ideas why that would be? Hey, you forgot to mention how to set it for motion capture. When you turn it on, press MODE for a few seconds until the light blinks. When the camera detects motion it will record for 5 minutes. Cool video! thanks!

helo, yes it is incerted properly. when i have the usb cable connected the cam and the contents are visible to pc. also it is posible to make recording. as i detach the usb i get the led flashing and turn off. it seems it is a charging issue. do you have any idea? thanks a lot...

Hey man... why don't you try this and see if the camera is working: Connect it with the video cable to a tv, it should show you what the camera see. That way you know if the camera works when is not connected to any power supply (battery problem)

You have to charge the camera to its fullest before inserting the SD Card to avoid any issues. Edited to add: You can buy adhesive velcro strips to mount this using the stand. Just peel one side the velcro and put it where you want the camera to be, then peel another for the base of the camera stand and presto. Insta mounting with no screws.

There is a hinge on one side and an screw on another. If you get your memory card stuck inside, you can unscrew it and open it to take it out.

About the video modes; in 720p; you get 16:9 image ratio, 30fps. In 1080p it goes in 4:3 image ratio, 15 fps. No clue about the use of that, but I thought it might be useful to know.

Hello I just received the camera and although it says English I actually believe the instructions are in KLINGON or something. (LOL). Any way your video great help in camera functions. You have to gently press the memory card in then it will fall out. You cannot just try to pull it out because that is what the little cut out is on the side of the card, it is to keep it in there so it doesn't fall out. No wonder people are damaging these things.

Hi. Great video. I have three questions (might sound silly from me, a non-techy person :-))... 1. How long does it take to charge and what light style/colour will indicate that it is charged? and 2. Does it need a card in it to navigate the various modes? Mine seems to do nothing when I press the buttons, although it has no card in it yet. and 3, When the card is full, does it stop recording or start looping over the earliest video on the card? Any responses are greatly appreciated.

I got this one years ago for under $ 10.-. Same problem with the SD card falling into the camera instead of sliding into the slot, I had a hard time retrieving it again to put it in properly. Best to use tweezers for that. What I like particularly is that when you are recording, there is no light showing, so peeps don't know you are recording, because any other camera, you have a blinking light when you are in recording mode. The videos are actually amazing quality, considering the size and what one pays for this thing.

That is the idea, but its hyper sensitive and will come on even when I can't visibly see movement, and the battery won't last that long.

This has probably been mentioned previously. The SQ8 mini camera output can be viewed on a PC with a pluggable Digital Veiwer, when it is connected to the USB for charging. The viewers can record video and take photos using the SQ8.

I do love the neat design of this and the rest of the SQ series. But to be honest, I think there are better small cameras out there for not that much more money; more reliable, and with longer battery life. I would not discourage anyone from buying one, but, TBH, don't expect too much. Of course, as always, it depends what you want to use it for.

How I haven’t discovered this channel before idk but these are the tech reviews I love! New technology items that you don’t have to break the bank to own! There are a few other “tech channels” that I may watch occasionally but most of the time, I’d say 99.999% the brand new newest of the new tech they have to review are on more on the expensive side bc normally they’re top tier devices that I would say the normal middle class working person wouldn’t buy it & it’s not bc they don’t like it! Of course they do bc it’s the newest most advanced items in their fields but I just can’t see how middle class ppl (especially if they have a child(s) bc they & myself included just don’t wanna spend the cash on something that’s not a necessity. even though Im single & don’t have any children. Im not rich in the least but luckily I don’t have to do the paycheck to paycheck living & having to count each cent thanks to my concession business I started in 2003 as a junior high school so regardless wether I can afford it or not I’d rather buy a cheaper model that’s made by a different name (normally I always go to a small American business) bc since they’re not a giant factory I’ve found the smaller the business the better not just on cost but they’re made with quality materials normally by hand since being a small fish in a big pond they have to make their things w/best available parts that are built to last!

1:52 It's not a stand. It's meant to be screwed into a wall so that you can put the camera in motion detector mode and use it as a security camera. It can't be used as a stand because it doesn't tilt enough.

With the TF/SD card, how did you get a bigger size than 4GB. For some reason, my camera won't recognise any SD that isn't formatted with FAT16, which limits to 4GB. I bought a 32GB SD card as advertised, and even when I partition to 2GB, it won't work either?

I picked one up cheap on ebay. Probably one someone returned. Anyway the main thing to remember is when not recording or taking pictures it will shut itself off. You cant shut it off. It will shut itself off, dont even try.Also best to remove card for viewing and charging. Worked well for me.

Sounds like either A its not fully charged, B it doesn't have enough memory on the stick, or C the power button gets bumped again... It could also be in motion detect mode and the motion detect mode with mine isn't the best, it takes up all the space and battery power coming on at seemingly random intervals, yes when someone/thing is moving, but also when I see no movement on video, in a closed and sealed room.

Great vid mate! FYI, the rains not your fault so don't feel guilty! Questions: You showed how to do 720 and 1080 recording, and in night vision. 1. How do you record in 1080 Motion Detection mode?? 2. Does the night vision kick in automatically if you're recording via motion detection mode? 3. How long does the battery last in Motion detection mode? You said 100 mins of record time in normal mode,...so something less than that I would guess?

turn the camera on. press the mode button to get to 1080p mode and then hold down Mode button for a few seconds until light blinks, now it is in motion detection mode. Im not 100% sure if the night vision kicks in auto, i dont think it does. Battery life would probably be the same really, it might be in motion detection mode, but then it also might not be recording because it has not detected motion. if you get what i mean.

I don't know and wouldn't want to recommend a charging time, but I charge mine for about an hour and then unplug it. It's normally full by then and it does get rather hot.
