I stil remember the time we passed that road. I was driving mirage HB with 3 passengers grabe ung stress namin and i used gear B to get through. It was fun to discover that mirage can pass steep uphill roads.

Hello. This Oct lang, natry namin ang GCR SE 2022 sa Pagudpud then Baguio. Kaya niya uphill, swabe lang sa makina. Although 2 lang kami pero loaded ang likod at cargo sa gamit. Naka comfort mode lang ako all throughout. Kahit may times na napatigil sa uphill, sa gitnang part kasi yung sasakyan sa harap ay napapatigil, si GCR keribels lang. 👍🏻 Godbless Sir

Went there last 2019 with my gf pero ang gamit ko naman paakyat eh 1996 Civic VTI na A/T. Kayang kaya naman, though oo matarik talaga at pag d k sanay sa pataas na biglang liko mejo maaalanganin ka. dumaan ako diyan paakyat, Oct 16, mga same time umakyat ka. dala ko starex 2016, with 3 pax. it was my first time to go up to tagaytay passing that road. those steep corners are really hard. umiiyak gulong ng starex, (too much rev). good to know walang problema coolray umakyat. actually may nakasalubong kami white coolray (pababa nga lang siya), what a head turner.

Thanks for sharing your video. We traversed on Ligaya Road riding our Toyota Fortuner from Agoncillo Batangas. That was Oct.30 to visit our friends in Buenavista Hills Tagaytay. I opted to try Bitukang Manok but my wife doesn’t like the twisties “nahililo” xa same with my kiddos. Ligaya Road is quite wider and open but the road on top is getting narrower. I usually use the power mode of the fortuner which is good for hill climb. The lowdown is that too much revs on the tires which is not an issue at all. The sudden turn of a 40 degrees angle “exaggeration” was a breeze though I just switch to eco mode on the “medyo”flat surface. Careful lang sa ibang drivers na mag drive kong gabi. I’m glad I was able to share some tidbits of my “joyride” to Tagaytay. 🚙

Tama po kayo on the extra care that needs to be taken dito and sa gabi din kasi madilim. There's also the need to be prepared for defensive driving kasi you won't know if me makasalubonog kang pababa na me braking issue. Where's the Bitukang Manok po? It's different from the one papuntang Bicol po yata? I'd like to visit it and make a follow-up video. We already tried paakyat ng Mount Makiling the other day and mas mahirap ng conti yung daan na we reved past 3k RPM just to pick up speed. Thanks for sharing po and hope to see you on the road soon. Wala ka dpat alalahanin sa Oka mo. Di pa masyadong incline paakyat Tagaytay kahit fully loaded. Magaan pa i-drive like my Coolray. May nakasabay ako kanina NLEx na Oka from Marilao to paglagpas Bocaue area, palipat lipat ng lane pero stable naman rear area.

Kakadaan ko lang din dyan 2 weeks ago using 2017 Vios Manual kaya din naman pero dapat sanay ka mag-drive kasi mahirap kung hindi. Planning to upgrade to a Geely Coolray or Okavango para additional driving confidence.

Not yet pa po. I'm curious how that works. As far as I know the cruise control works by setting it while on transit and it gets activated when you hit on the break. If that's the case, I think I'm not that skilled to maintain an uphill drive po without doing breaks. Hehe but let me know po how that works 🙂

Re consumption, surprisingly it will not strike you as matipid. If ever, dapat palagi ka nasa "eco" drive mode at hindi pala-rangkada. Otherwise, consumption can go as low as 5kpl.

For city po, specifically snail-paced traffic, eco mode helps and the normal/comfort is for highway speeds for me. I average around 9-10kpl pero that's with 80% of my drive on the highway, tagaytay, laguna, etc. Iwas lagi traffic. I understand this is no possible for everyone lalo na pag daily driver to work at traffic so your suggestion of going eco is the smart way to do it po. Thank you po sa suggestion :)

Oo boss palag yan naka turbo naman. Alalay nalang siguro sa gas baka kasi pag sobrang taas hindi kayanin ang 1.5 or 2k rpm mas lalo na kung overload. Tamang timpla nalang.

If you have the budget po, get the new Sport Limited. if not po, pick between the comfort and sport -- the premium is sort of a mixed bag for us po. In terms of mainit po, we have not experienced that pero baka they just need to set the AC in the proper setting. If you know the person who shared this, pa comment nyo po dito so I can help them. I was previously planning to designing an aftermarket AC module for the back of the coolray pero since okay yung experience namin with us, d ko na tinuloy. Baka sa comfort and premium need parin nila, I'll revive the project. :)

Problema ko kasi sa lumang sedan ko na matic, pag lusong na, apak ako ng apak sa preno to keep the car at uniform speed para iwas bulusok sa bangin. The result is umuusok ang tires and brake pads. Ganyan lagi ako sa Ambuklao Road, vizcaya to baguio. How does the coolray handle very long downhills?

Meron pong Hill Decent Control po and we used this when we went to Crosswinds, Tagaytay naman po. It's not that challenging pero we know if we took the adventure or picanto na baka ngka problem kami. Being a new car din po kasi it's super confident and wala pa po akong napuntahan na naramdaman kong nag alanganin ako. Mapa tagaytay, hills sa silang or bataan, or even sa UP LB po. Enjoy sya drive and honestly, umiiksi pakiramdam ng mga drives namin kasi nakaka 9hrs na pala akong roadtrip feeling ko parang 2-4hrs palang. Hehe Thanks for watching!

Hi, we haven't experienced that yet po. Kahit sa picanto namin hindi naman na experience yun even though we often load our trunk po ng sagaran as much as we could. If sayad po talaga and it makes noises na po, better to unload stuff para d bumigay suspension po. If kahit magaan lang ay sumasayad, most likely po me faulty component na po and if pasok sa warranty period po, pasok nyo na agad. Either way, if this happened to you po, you should contact your agent to get some advice and if they are good enough, they can help you get the service/replacement parts that you need for your vehicle. Parte yan ng ruta ng calamba to tagaytay 50k ultramarathon noong 2017. Di namin kinaya takbuhin kaya hiking pace kami simula ibaba hanggang people's park. Binalika ko yan noong 2020 dala ying Hyundai Eon namin pero hanggang Leuna De Taal lang, yung may viewing deck. Tapos pag balik pataas nahirapaan si Eon, ingat na ingat ako pero kailangan ko mag 3,000 to 4,000 rpm in 2nd gear para maka ahon sa matarik na parte ng kalsada. Patay aircon palagi. Kinaya naman pero yung struggle ay tulad din nung tinakbuhan namin dati.

Nadaan ako 1st time sa daan na to nung nanggaling kami ng lobo batangas, confident naman ako kasi innova na 2.8e ang dala ko, (super easy lang) pero nakakatakot din talaga ung daan kasi super tarik and dun sa part na 13minutes yan i think ung pinakamataas na part and makitid ung daan, timing pa nung dumaan kami may nakatayo na lalaki sa gitna, i thought nagmamando ng traffic kasi nga matarik sa part na yan, un pala eh nag lilimos lang sya, so tendency ung mga paakyat nabibitin kasi napapahinto sa kanya.. anyway, nashare ko lang hahaha.. atleast we know malakas din GCR sa akyatan.

I think so too. Yung mga una cguro medyo mahina pa pero like the japanese and korean cars, they too started improving. Medyo me advantage pa Chinese cars kasi they bought out established brands -- essentially leapfrogging decades of tech research and development. They also have the advantage of mass producing and playing the rules of economies of scale to is limits. I hope more countries (cough, Philippines) learn from this move of China and also contribute to the development of the car industry

For this road po, it's best to have downhill assist activated lalo na on the first few corners when coming from the top. You'll still want to rely on you brakes but the downhill assist system will compliment your safe driving. Thanks for watching

Hello po. Hindi ko pa na try ang road na yan pero madalas ako umakyat ng baguio. Pinakamahirap yung stretch sa marcos highway, from the tunnel and bridge all the way to the top, mahaba yun, doon usually maraming nag ooverheat lalo na pag na trapik at slowmoving lahat kayo on very steep grade. Isa na ako sa nagoverheat doon. Sa tingin nyo mas matindi pa doon yang demo road ninyo sa video? Planning to buy din kasi ng coolray

Slow-paced traffic, in any condition po will always be more difficult po. For me, any car po talaga pwedeng mg fail in these conditions. We just make sure po na we do our best to maintain our vehicles po. For Geely Coolray, I think it will have some challenge pero as long as the vehicle po is checked lalo na yung fluids for these challenging rides, I think you won't have any issues po. Isa lang po masasabi ko, Strada lang po ang na drive ko before na masasabi kong mas powerful sa Geely Coolray (against, picanto, adventure, FX) Hope this helps you po and thanks for watching!

Wow, trucks are a big deal Pero since Volvo is owned by Geely na I do see why that's the case. Good competition to for the market. It's good to see China is stepping up their game, in a few years EV naman. Tama ka sa new Chinese cars. Helly is only a 3cylinder, 1.5L engine Pero dahil sa Co development with Volvo, they got the tech to bring in the juice. Good observation po, dko narealize Yun until you pointed it out. Nung nakuha po namin medyo matagtag kasi overinflated yung gulong at 41PSI and the whole week we slowly deflated it down to 31PSI. Now it's good. Better than the adventure pero we find po na our 1st gen Picanto has a more smoother ride. Ang advantage nitong Coolray is that even on long drives, hindi nahihilo kids

For now, I can gladly recommend getting the Geely Coolray to anyone who's looking for a brand new car na less than 5 lang na tao and is deciding between an Ertiga, Xpander, or Avanza -- eto na kunin nyo. Rear seats po d naman coming from picanto. Better Sana if merong dedicated na AC vents sa likod. There are AC vents sa floor Pero not very effective. Most people who say mainit just need to cover the sunroof with an insulator. This is not an issue on the comfort and limited variants

The azkarra feels more premium sa interior for sure. Performance, I'd give it to Coolray Pero fuel efficiency will be a slight win for the Azkarra kasi mild hybrid na sya. Ano po ba yung nagustuhan Nyo sa azkarra, I can tell you my honest opinion ng equivalent nya sa Coolray

Honest experience ko po, the cover of the coorlay sport and premium are quite thin (mesh) kaya pag tanghaling tapat po mainit sa head part. On my video, I mentioned a good long-term solution is to tint the top with one of those tints that offers 99% heat rejection and in my case, I want it clear para mas maganda sa gabi. For now, we bought an aftermarket po na insulator and that fixes the mild concern for us. As for the rear AC po it's a non-issue for me or the kids at the moment. I did try to design a fan system and was planning to have it manufactured and sell it pero I think we really don't need it unless we really want to have the feeling of wind for the rear passengers. The AC, set at 3 bars out of 8 and at 22 (or 21) degrees is cool enough for us. Any more and medyo masakit na sa katawan yung lamig (that's from a family who often runs the AC indoors almost the entire day) I suggest, if you can po, take a look at the new coolray sport limited which is only 20k more than the sport variant. Sana ito kinuha namin. It is essentially the coolray sport (plus) 1. ventilated seats 2. power-assisted tailgate lifter 3. sunroof cover now the same as the okavango and azkarra I suggest po you test drive both models and for us kasi it's really the budget that made us decide on the coolray. It may be you have a different set of requirements. If you want some help getting a test-drive, let me know, I'll hook you up
