Oh nice concept... Dream bike once in a life, but this service 1-2times per year...What Ian missing was to use grease when pressing the berings, also missing cleaning and lubing of fork...in this conditions the dust wipers and foam rings must be shitty dirty...😉...Please more of this 🤘👍

Preventative maintenance. Oil getting cavitated in both suspension F&R. I would agree with you that you probably don’t need to “rebuild” the brakes. But if you’re servicing the pivots, then the suspension is probably long overdue too

nice video, and good to see you use a pipe spanner on the brake hoses!, but is this a 'service'? as what you do is technically an 'overhaul', as most parts come off to clean the chassis and rear suspension arm, everything but the shocks get a going over.

Amazing video, love watching bike builds and watching the complete bike service is even more satisfying somehow. But this made me wondering, are those the tires the bike was initially built with? If so I can most certainly say it did not need new bearings pressed in. Also if you going through the trouble of replacing the bearings why not give the suspension some love? Air can / fork lowers service supposed to be done every 50h give it take. And one more thing - the saddle was never removed and saddle rails cleaned, but that is a very common source of creaks and noises. Just my observations!
@GeeMilner3 жыл бұрын
Yep the tyres are original, it did need bearings changing because after changing them the bike felt much smoother. For sure suspension would have been something to service but it feels the same as it felt when new so we didn’t touch it, plus maybe we’ll do a separate video about that at some point. The bike doesn’t creak and runs quiet, so no need to remove the saddle. Thanks for watching and glad you enjoyed the video!
