My fave bit is always when Gee builds the rims. Was always a dark art back in the day and a killer if you didn't know someone who could true them back to shape if you'd had a bump. That build wouldn't last two minutes by me in Norway with the magpies I get in the garden. Although it would be ace to do some LOTR riding/flying ;) Thanks for another 28 minutes of meditation.

7:08 I have a Spank Split 35 in bronze and was considering going with a TrailOne spacer and top cap kit in bronze but though it would be a bit too much bronze but now you have me second guessing myself. i think i might get that spacer kit because that gold stem with the gold spacers and top cap look really good. Update: I just ordered it.

Just got this bike the start of the year after the bottom fell out of vitus and nukeproof got the mega 290 for $2000 originally $4500 only thing ive changed is i got the AXS upgrade for wireless shifting and it is by far the sickest bike i have ever owned i was just day dreaming what it would like with gold componentry after seeing those new "limited" gold fox forks they have and i gotta say i love it and hate it those crank arms are filthy but i would be so worried about cleaning that thing all the time idk if i would ever actually ride it Although im terrified of riding it to begin with considering i have no frame warranty to speak of and they no longer exist i wonder if they come back do the people that bought bikes after the bottom fell out get warranties again? Or are we just SOL and should count ourselves lucky enough to have gotten something so cheap?

I'm new to the fantastic world of mtb's , if I owned this bike i'd cry tear's like a toddler if it got dirty. I'd practically chain it to my waist when out on it. I'd ride it occasionally I guess. More importantly I'd leave it on it's stand as center piece in any room cause to me this bike is ' Object de art ' ........Great bike and Great build.
