I did a hydraulic disc brake bike build over Christmas, I have tool envy!😍 and that stand!😍 would love one of those! makes everything look so easy! when in reality it's quite complicated. Good to see him adjusting the position of the bike to get the final air bubbles out, mine took a bit longer 🤪

Love the video, lovely bikes. I bet mechanics wish they could go back to rim brakes, setting up those hydro brakes looks like a right faff, especially all the internal cabling!

@@matthewbenger8355 yeah, for a bike that looks so unconventional, they stuck to some things from their roots like rim brakes and threaded bbs. Though it looks like rim brakes will truly be obsolete now which is sad.

Interesting they're using an 11 speed chainset with 12 speed dura ace. Assume this is because the power meter version isn't available yet, and 11 speed chainset is a lot lighter. Does an 11 speed chainset work completely fine with 12 speed?

The Dogma is a gorgeous frame set, but personally I find the Ineos livery/colourway pretty bland and muted, I guess they’re constrained by having to use corporate colours but it’s a shame when the bike looks so amazing in more dynamic colour ways

Curious what purpose the zip ties serve on the DI2 wire when routed internally through the frame?
@yonglingng5640 Жыл бұрын
They're plastic clip-on ties that come with every Di2 wire to prevent the wire from rattling inside the frame by pushing them against the inner walls of the frame tubes.
@bikingchupei24476 ай бұрын
@@yonglingng5640 i removed them all, the wires themselves are too soft to make any noise.
@yonglingng56406 ай бұрын
@@bikingchupei2447 I've never tried that before as I don't want to complete the build, only to hear some rattling right after. Depending on the length of the wire, I only clip on one to three of them.

I’m enjoying the bike so far kzbin.infoUgkxMesz3KOGEmwmvyKQfLfrRSUXLFzfVHZA My only real complaints are the brakes and the pedals. I feel like a bike designed for bigger people should have much larger pedals and more heavy duty brakes. I’ve only gotten two really good rides out of it, minimal downhill action, and the brakes feel like they’re already going out. A larger person has more momentum, so I think this wasn’t thought through very well. Also, I wear size 13-14 wide shoes. My feet cramp up on these pedals that are clearly made for smaller feet. Since I’m not a pro rider (and I don’t think many are who purchase this bike) I don’t think that the straps on the pedal are necessary at all. None of this takes away from the enjoyment I get from riding, however. I’ll just head to a bike shop to improve on a few things.
